Speaking of Alita, apparently this happened: Half the time Christoph Walz looks excited to be talking to an anime girl, the other half of the time he looks like he is wondering what the hell happened in his life to get him to this point.

I dunno, really. Probably not. But I haven't watched much of it, basically I just started looking into what the hell it was when Shadowverse had a promotional event. I'm happy that Kaguya Luna finally got that anime adaptation.

  6. Wow fuck you guys, you made me think he died.

The true answer is "it doesn't matter anyway". I just said fuck it since that mission went totally down the shitter anyway. Hostages dead before I got there, main bad guy got away, Serif must've felt like a dumbass wasting money on me.

Okay I definitely did NOT get that part. Though I am reminded of the first "convince the person they're wrong" thing with the cholo and how I wish during the conversation there was a "shoot the bastard" option. I chose the "talk it out" option because I wanted to hear why but after talking to him and botching the negotiation Jensen just sits there like a dumbass when things break down and he tries to run. Like, nothing changed positioningwise, so why wouldn't Jensen be able to try and take a shot after realizing that talking him down won't work? I suppose the true answer to this all is "just load your save and do it right"

If you take too long fucking around the office before setting out on your first official mission (the hostage situation at the plant) then Sarif will call you up and say "HEY FAGGOT BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW THIS WAS ACTUALLY TIMED" and all the hostages will be dead already. I'm sure you'd know if you got it.

Wait, what happens then? I feel like I may have gotten that and not realized it was something I could have influenced. Definitely saved helicopter girl though, she was a cutie.

Can't say I remember much of the story, I do recall the boss fights not being particularly good but that's how it was with Deus Ex 1. There was some cool deterministic things like waiting too long at the office, getting the bio-chip, or saving helicopter girl. What a shame the ending didn't depend on your actions at all though.

    TIAM: General Gaming edition

It was obvious but I did it anyway because I was really just on autopilot through most of those missions I guess. I suspected it wouldn't really matter in the long run (like most things in this game heyooooooooo) I mean, I was gonna just abuse the fact that the boss is baffled by stairs and shoot him to death with a gun anyway, I just couldn't jump directly over his head to do it. You know while I'm on this tangent DXHR had so many "but I wouldn't have done that" situations in cutscenes. The EMP thing, everything involving that Chinese bitch who clearly was going to betray you at every single turn (chiefly, not just shooting her outright whenever she showed up), pretty much every single boss fight cutscene where Jensen just walks up to them instead of using his quantum tunneling armor piercing suppressed pistol to pop them in the head with the element of surprise or hell just fucking sneak around them like you already can do once the cutscene is over I mean, the anticlimax of being able to 1shot all the bosses in the first DX with the GEP Gun is still preferable to the boss fights DXHR had.

Really? Wasn't it obvious that was gonna fuck you over? I always thought that to get it replaced (first time through at least) you had to be Homer Simpson-tier. New bio-chip? How can I lose?

That was the thing that borked your implants like five levels later right? Yeah, I had forgot about it until now

Only question is, did you get the upgraded bio-chip?
  16. A 1970 Corvette

    TIAM: General Gaming edition

I finished desu ex human resources Ending was shit, all the boss fights were dumb, why the fuck do the nano zombies literally make you unable to move if they touch you once, why did an EMP reset your implants when there is an implant IN THE GAME THAT SHIELDS YOU FROM ALL ELECTRIC INTERFERENCE AND EMPS REEEEEEEEEEEEE other than that the game was okay, pretty fun

I suppose at the end of the day the amount of dog models doesn't matter that much especially when they added tri-beam laser rifles that just do flat 120 damage that can't be mitigated because fuck you.

There is no agreement whatsoever between the fansub names, official anime names, and official game names of the characters in Mysteria Friends. (Hell even the title was originally Manaria friends). Lou/Roux/Rue seems to have gotten it particularly bad. Still if you call Grea Glare or Heinlein Hainlain (or worse, Hainrain), you are a heretic.

      Foreigner.

Still, "West Virginia" is pretty damn prominent in the lyrics.

    3. Raison d'être

      Raison d'être

A lot of non-Americans think of America as California, New York, and Texas, so they probably just assumed West Virginia was merely a place in Texas along with the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah River. And you gotta admit "Country Roads" sounds more like Texas than California or New York.

  22. They're called cell phones because of the wireless coverage cell.
  23. Last week
  24. I liked when cellphones meant having a compact mean of comunication, instead of having a flatscreen TV that doesnt fits on your pocket. Kinda kills the 'cell' part if they are as big a regular phone.
  25. The original always loses money. The copy might break even. It's the copy of the copy that makes the big money.
  26. Can't wait for Samsung to scam people out of 2000 dollars with their foldable phone when you could just get one of these for like 60 bucks: On a serious note though I've been preaching the slide phone for fucking years and I'm pissed that their gonna make insane money off of what is basically an evolution of it.
