If Valve isn't gonna celebrate then let's celebrate it ourselves by reminiscing better times Like when Makani made all those Elder God tier female versions of the cast of which I just found this image dump http://imgur.com/a/xL2em I still especially like her demowoman

Mastering the MAAWS and MAHEM launchers. The MAAWS is a single-shot, slow-moving rocket launcher that follows your crosshairs if you're aiming down sights. You only have one round with it per life. The hard challenges are shooting UAVs with it - You've got to follow the UAVs (small little flying things in the skybox) with your sights and the rocket takes about 15 or 20 seconds to travel and hit the target - not to mention that some maps have things in the skybox that will obscure the UAV mid-flight or throw off your aim. If you don't track the UAV perfectly the rocket might miss and try to loop around and take much longer and UAVs only last 30 seconds iirc. You have to get 10 UAVs. It's hard, but not impossible. The MAHEM launcher has two shots, but is dumb-fired and has random projectile deviation. The hard challenge is shooting UAVs with it as well - only five, but it's much harder to do. The random projectile deviation makes your shots very luck-based, but you also must remember that some maps have UAVs spawn in different areas of the skybox so you have to lead differently on different maps. A hard thing to do, but I'd say it's not as annoying to do as the MAAWS because you don't have to stand perfectly still aiming at something in the sky while people are running around shooting you. It's much more fire-and-forget so it's not as bad when you're doing it, even if the shots only hit one in 20 or so shots. The hardest in the game by far though is shooting down Paladins with both of them. Paladins are air support gunships that stay high up in the air (right around UAV height) and rain down fire on enemies. They take 950 points to get, making them the hardest-to-get scorestreak in the game (that's 10 kills or 9 kills and 1 assist to get it). So that makes them rarer than other scorestreaks off the bat. On top of that, Paladins as a game object have 3000hp, while rocket direct hits only deal 1000 damage. The only way to kill one with a MAAWS or MAHEM launcher is by first shooting it enough to bring it down to >1000hp and THEN hitting the Paladin with a rocket. To add to that problem, there are only TWO maps in the game (out of 13, and of course you can't queue for a map in the game) where you can shoot a Paladin, and to hit them you must be in specific areas of the maps. So in order to get a paladin kill, you have to be in 2/13 maps in the base game, in a specific part of the map, THEN you have to fire ~70 rounds from an LMG into the Paladin without having your fire miss too much, and THEN you have to fire rockets at it (they can still miss at this point, the MAHEM has spread and the MAAWS can take too long or miss due to something jumping into your sights). All while it's murdering your team and probably you because your fire makes the camera view get static-ey and your tracers and rockets are fairly visible. You have to do this three times for the MAHEM and three times for the MAAWS. There are a few ways you can make it easier - in Hardcore Mode you can destroy friendly Paladins in the same manner as enemy ones and it counts for the challenges. The MAAWS can save time by firing the rocket and THEN start shooting the Paladin as it travels. My personal method (which got me 3 of the 6 paladins) was to play with two controllers in splitscreen hardcore. On a guest account, I'd play a game on one of the necessary maps and earn a Paladin. Then, I'd switch controllers to my main account and get to the required shooting-spots, then call in the Paladin on my guest account. This method removes a lot of variables that are out of your control normally like the paladin shooting you, the paladin being called in when you can't reach one of the spots you need to get to, but most importantly, it doesn't rely on an enemy or friendly getting a paladin (which is the hardest part of the challenge - you can't really make any of your enemies or teammates start using Paladins, a hard-to-get streak that might get you kicked for team-killing). If any of you care at all about this, this guy's videos on the Paladin and the UAV launcher challenges sum up the requirements fairly well and not in a giant wall of text. I didn't mean to make this such a large wall of text woops lol
