As much shit as Nintendo gets for some of its outdated business practices and policies, you have to admit, Nintendo kept focusing on what other big devs these days seem to push under the rug as a secondary priority in order to be taken serious and hardcore: having fun. In the end, Nintendo's games, as silly, and milked as they are, still focus on that aspect.

Mr. Iwata, I believe, was the manifestation of those virtues, being humble and soft-spoken, as well as a sense of humor to boot, despite being the top dog of one of the biggest corporations of gaming. He was a man who truly did know what Nintendo's audience wants when they play their games, because he himself was one of us.

The dude earns my respect. RIP
