  1. Is a dragon a reptile, or is it really a bird?

Now hear me out: I'm not just saying that because they fly.  A dragon is basically a dinosaur, and dinosaurs are supposedly more closely related to birds, right?  So wouldn't that make a dragon a bird, technically?

Weeaboo counter argument: Japanese word for Dinosaur is 恐竜 meaning "scary dragon."  Ergo dinosaurs are dragons and thus dragons are dinosaurs.

I think we can conclude that Eastern dragons are dinosaurs (birds), while Western dragons are the result of pterosaurs interbreeding with serpents (reptiles).

Let's just ignore the fact that Eastern dragons tend to look way more serpent-like than Western ones.

Apparently modern definitions class birds as reptiles, so... moot point.
