    Something I've always wondered: Do people in the US generally have to deal with Canadian quarters getting mixed in with US currency?  Or is this just a northern border state problem?

      I've never had to deal with that, only with pesos sometimes. Which is quite a bit less valuable than Canadian currency.

      To put things into perspective, there's like a 1 in 20 chance that when you get a quarter in change that you'll get a Canadian quarter.  That may not sound like a lot, but if you get change frequently you're guaranteed to have a bunch of Canadian quarters.

       

      Oftentimes I don't even realize that I got a Canadian quarter until I try to use it in a vending machine and it won't accept it.
