    I thought people were exaggerating when they said that the Japanese writing system was intentionally designed to be obtuse.

     

    Then I discovered round katakana.

      It honestly didn't even register as katakana for me, more like the weird script you see in videogames like the Sims that's supposed to look like some kind of writing yet it isn't
