And now I'm very happy to have started coming to this forum again. I recently got into toy collecting as well. Here's my collection so far. Going to try and pick up a chogokin going merry to replace that terrible bandai model soon.
 

​Ok let me clear something up here. You guys aren't nerds. My girlfriend's currently getting her masters degree at GSU in mathematics and her friends have given nerd an entirely new definition. This saturday I'm getting dragged to a halloween party someone in her department is having and his invitation basically read:
 
"Halloween pun.
I'm having a party.
I Don't know how to have a party.
Please define party.
I have linked a poll at the bottom of this invitation. Please fill at this poll so I may better understand what a party is.
Please come to my party"
 
Not even really exaggerating there. She had to fill out a stupid poll and basically tell this guy how to host a party. Help...

It's a NECA figure so basically all those joints are glued shut with paint. The only thing I know to try is to soak the figure in some hot water for a few minutes to try and get things moving.

I decided to stop lurking for a bit to tell you all something. I've found a new magical futuristic device and I have no clue how I ever lived without one.

I know the shield has been out for a fairly long time now but it recently got a huge price drop and game streaming is completely out of beta so I decided to take a $200 gamble and see if it was any good and dear god it's the greatest gaming peripheral / handheld / console / tablet I've ever owned.
 
If you have an Nvidia card compatible with this, GO GET ONE NOW!
 
Mine barely meets the minimum specs and after asking a few other people their advice on this they also pointed out I'd need a new router. I'm currently using a beaten up awful linksys router that I purchased 8 years ago...

...And it works... It just works...
 
Granted I'm still going to upgrade the thing but even on the crap connection the lag I get is minuscule and is only really apparent when running my most demanding games.
And speaking of games it runs ALL THE GAMES. The entire steam library, Nearly every emulator (Dolphin is in beta for a few more weeks), App games from the android store, the games that you actually can't play using a shield is a very very short list and really only consists of next gen console exclusives and games that are heavily mouse/keyboard reliant.
 
Oh and as far as how the games look? I thought I'd be squinting at blurry pixels crammed into a tiny screen but it actually manages to put my desktop monitor to shame. and guess what else it does now? remember this failed block of wasted money?
 

 
Buy yourself a mini hdmi cable and the shield can act as portable console!
EDIT: It's also bluetooth capable so if you get yourself a bluetooth mouse/keyboard those few steam games that don't play well on here are completely playable. 
 
       
 
Just go, now, get one. It's perfect. A tiny little full blown gaming pc that goes where you go. Worth every penny and compared to other handhelds and everything it can do, you get way more than your money's worth.

As of this hour, I feel it be in my responsibility to provide some insight to recent controversy. These are my honest thoughts..

When een first started SPUFpowered in January 2012, it was created as a refuge for Spuffers who wanted to hang out. The forum was to be a place for friends to chat without the hustle and clutter of the larger Steam Users' Forums. This place is not without a set of guidelines. Although we tend to follow said guidelines, we adopt an overly "lax" attitude. Simply put, we can't behave and the longer we've been here the more rambunctious and immature some people have become for the sake of "just friends being lax".

A closed circle of friends, where everyone knows everyone, can cause issues with forum management. Moderators are less likely to do their jobs because they're afraid they'll be shunned by a certain person. For example, if Rynjin suddenly becomes extremely hostile towards Razputin and starts up arguments with him at every corner, would Rammite be quick to punish him? Would Rammite fear being shunned by his friend because he did his job? Will others cry Stalin if he closes a cluster-mucked thread?* Any attempts at cleaning up messes and shutting people up results in accusations of dictatorship.

As for Freaky Fetishes, it is simply a sign of immaturity on our end. I don't even know where to begin, it's creepy? Stupid? Immature? Filled with TMI posts? Responsible for chasing people off the boards? Gross and annoying? If such a thread was replicated on SUF, we'd all be banned or at least put in timeout. It has gone on for long enough and the shenanigans need to end soon. Any crying over it has to be ignored and taken as a sign of immaturity. Why did it even need to exist?

Dustforce also has that sort of feeling akin to singleplayer Minecraft. Contemplative music paired with methodical gameplay. It's really hard to describe Journey without suggesting someone to just play the dang game. I'll try to think of a good analogy to detail the distinction between online and singleplayer.

Yes he is! Speaking of Jackie Earle Haley, WATCH THE WATCHMEN! Brilliant movie if you haven't seen it. Barely deviates from the comic (which is also amazing read it) same goes for V for Vendetta and pretty much anything Alan Moore has made. Part Mario, part Super Meat Boy. This is one of my top ten games of all time. Everything here was just absolutely perfect. Gorgeous artwork, extremely enjoyable soundtrack, airtight controls, great challenge, amazing co-op, etc. Nothing in this game was done wrong. Personally I rank this up there with games like Portal in terms of gaming perfection. If you can manage to get a few friends together for some couch co-op you will absolutely fall in love with this.

Remembered another good one I've yet to share and I think this is one everyone's going to love.




That one time Zakk wouldn't wake up.
During conventions people tend to pass out. Not your typical "Dear god I've been awake for 30 hours I need sleep now" type passing out but more along the lines of "CONSCIOUSNESS OFF NOW!". Zakk is incredibly susceptible to this kind of heavy sleeping as we can see here from a few years ago.


No one could ask for a better target when playing decorate the drunk.
A few years ago when Zakk entered one of these hibernative states the timing could not have possibly been worse. It was 10:30 AM monday morning and we had just arrived back in our room to pack our things after a very long all nighter, we needed to check out of our hotel NOW! As soon as we entered the room Zakk laid down on a bed and fell asleep instantly.
I decided Chris was better suited to the task of waking him up and let him go for it. Chris started by shoving zakk a bit, then eventually slapping him in the face and so on with no luck. He resorted to full on punching zakk in the nuts and that finally did the trick. Zakk sprang up and sat there asking us why his nuts hurt.

"We need to get ready to leave, NOW!" I informed him. Zakk told me that after he had one cigarette he would be ready to leave and pulled his lighter from his pocket. He then held up his two fingers thinking he was holding a cigarette and lit his lighter. Well the imaginary cigarette wasn't lighting so Zakk continued to move the lit lighter closer and closer to his face until it was close enough to ignite his hair and burn his fingertips. He screamed in pain for a moment while rubbing the singed portion of his scalp and fell backwards back onto the bed and went back to sleep in seconds.

I told Chris to get him up again. This time Chris decided we had wasted enough time and went to his bag for the lightsaber he had bought during the con. Now the wasn't one of those $20 plastic folding lightsabers you get from walmart. No this was a $250 fiberglass movie prop replica and when you got hit with it, it FUCKING HURT.

Chris took the Sabre in both hands and reared backwards before bring it back down on Zakk's nuts. Zakk woke up once more, again confused as to why he was in pain, and said that he'd pack his things after we let him use the bathroom. Chris and I watched as he got up, walked down the hallway, and stood in front of the front door of our room for a moment.

Well somewhere between "get up" and "piss" Zakk had forgotten a step, namely going to the bathroom. He then unzipped his pants and pissed on the front door of our hotel room. Once he had finished he started poking at the door handle in an attempt to flush our front door. A moment passed before he gave up and fell asleep while still standing and fell flat on his back.

After Chris and I confirmed he wasn't dead we decided to just pack his things ourselves and loaded our things onto a luggage cart then placed zakk on top of the luggage...

The engineers quickly get to work on "The Best" and begin testing after construction is completed.
