Wow, its been only 7 years since I put something here?
Well, anyway, I got back to sketching and recently I had this dream about this insect humanoid character I apparently created. So in some sort of self-fulfilling prophecy, here it is.
 
I call her Beatrix.
 
 
Notes: drawing sure got harder. I used to draw more detailed stuff as a kid but now I cant even get proportions and perspective right without help.

I wasn't sure if I should share this one, but it left me in a post-dream confused daze for a few moments.
 
It was some sort of rave party, I remember it being really dark, but it had some green/red/blue lights going around and something that aliens could call "human music".
Then I start to notice that the "people" around the party look really weird. Suddenly I notice that these aren't people, but actually a bunch of furries and other kinds of monsters!
The monsters start to agglomerate into the center of the room and a full blown monster orgy starts, while the first Pokemon anime opening plays at full volume.
The scene was so sudden and surreal that something started to stir inside my pants and then....! I woke up REALLY needing to pee.
 
I had to stand there at 4AM and stare at the wall for a few seconds to let my brain finish loading, because I was paralyzed with confusion and a pee boner. What the fuck brain.

My other doggo passed away today, exactly one year and one week after the first. No idea if them passing away on meme dates is some kind of cosmic joke.
 
She was almost 17 years old and had almost all the problems that comes with age, half blind, couldn't walk, but her mind was still sharp and she still could eat as long we helped her.
Last month she started to get worse and wouldn't eat, we found her kidneys were starting to give and she had severe anemia. After a blood transfusion she started to get better, her kidneys even started to recover, and looked well until yesterday.
 
Today she woke up tired and complained a bit. My parents took care of her and watched her as she slept, her heart and breath slowly started to weaken, until it stopped and she finally got her rest.

Yesterday I had a dream where I was playing some sort of SCP game, but instead of the several horror clone ones, it was a first person management sim, kinda like Lobotomy Corporation.
 
You get selected as the director for a new facility and have to build rooms to receive new anomalies. You have to keep the moods of the anomalies high otherwise they might break out and cause trouble.
Some required special rooms or specific rules like not being near other anomalies, or being the only one in a corridor, or being far away from a specific anomaly.
Researching the anomalies, conducting interviews with the sentient ones and gathering results gives you money to build new rooms, buy upgrades for crew training and equipment and emergency supplies.
 
Sentient anomalies with good moods would help you with invasions/break outs (as long they didn't meet another anomaly they had beef with).
I don't remember many, but they were always "AN-XXX, Codename: X".
 
One was "Follower", it was a shadow like figure that most of the time is staring at the corner of a wall on it's room, but sometimes it disappears and would replace the shadow of a random NPC. You had a few minutes to find it (using a top down perspective would show that the person's shadow shows towards a light source), before it would drain the essence of the NPC and eventually kill it. After finding it, you had to stab it with a blessed stake and it would flee back to it's room.
 
Another was "Vamp". A regular vampire pure-blood, he is actually impossible to contain and would wander around on his own. He stays there for his own amusement, if you kept him happy by offering blood donations and animal sacrifices, he would help you on some cases.
 
The third was "Lycan", regular werewolf. He at first works like a regular human, but each two weeks he would transform over into a werewolf and had to be contained in a different room and given animals to eat. If you didn't keep his mood high while as a human, he would be more pissed off as a werewolf and break out more easily.
 
The last was a door just called "DO NOT OPEN". It would randomly replace ANY door on the game at a random moment and you had to pay attention to some details like inverted or upside down words, doorknob on the opposite side and some other stuff. Opening it would cause a random instant game over, like a glitching blue screen, being dragged by some eldritch being, being dragged into the middle of space and overflowing the facility with magma due being connected to the planet's core.

Reading old threads makes me sad. Wish I could re-experience a bit of the old days.

Steamworld Dig 2 for free on Steam and GOG till tomorrow.

Yesterday I went to a family dinner and between the 10 year old kids glued to their phones talking about violent adult shows and whatever current youtuber did, aunts giving phones to toddlers and someone putting "insect squibbles animated songs for kids" on the TV, I was ready to lose my fucking mind.
 
And not because of "BACK IN MY DAY", because I spent a lot of time playing games, lots above my age rating, but because these kids basically have no parents. Shove a phone on their hands playing whatever trash Youtube kids has and leave them be.
 
Hell, even some of the shows I watched had educational value. Where the fuck is the "Magic School Bus" or "Beakman's World" of this generation?
