    I'd really love to finally finish a run of Fallout NV but it's not making this easy with how often I get a corrupt savefile

      Apparently quick and auto saves are the most likely to have issues. if you aren't already, try hard saving only. I do that and I think I've only had one corrupt save file in 100+ hours of gameplay.

      Weird, I never got this problem with NV and I played it for days

      I have Fallout 1,2, Tactics, 3 and New Vegas. Each time I play F3 it crashes before I leave the vault, and I dont wanna play New Vegas because I don't wanna ruin F3 for myself, since a lot of people say NV is the better game.
