Because memes and filters are fun for all the family, none of that nerd shit please. Don't you go to dinner with your family only to have your grandma come out with "Hello Jimmy, did you see that FUCKIGN EPICC NEW MEME ON REDDIT" and you try to tell your grandma that you saw it ages ago but it begins, grandmas gone into a fit. She's laughing, yelling "doge XD" you try to calm her but shes knocking the food off the table. The bowl of roast potatoes goes flying across and smacks your dog in the face, causing him to start barking, making your little cousin scared. You can't stop it, everyone is screaming, shouting, spurting out the most funny and epic new memes direct to you from r/funny, such classics as 'le overly photogenic running man' and 'we falsely accused someone of the boston bombings which led to him killing himself' all classics straight to your from the pinnacle of social media. IT'S TOO LATE. You feel the ground shake beneath you, you always read that it could happen but you never expected it to happen to your family. The lights flicker. Slowly at first but it quickly becomes more and more frequent. IT'S HAPPENING. The shakes become stronger. You see a crack appear under the portrait of your great-grandfather, veteran of World War I, what would he say if he could see what had happened to you? You know he fought exactly to prevent this sort of thing, and on his deathbed his only wish was that your family could stay safe from the horrors. It's over. The crack spreads into a crevice half a mile wide, splitting your entire neighborhood in half. The dark lord Satan emerges in a blast of fire and brimstone, and says in a booming voice filled with the screams of 10,000,000,000 tortured spirits "DAE rend the souls of the unworthy XD?!" Satan tears the sullied life from all your family, leaving their corpses lifeless as he scales down into the depths of hell. You feel a tap on your shoulder. It's Pewdiepie. "Pretty epic bro gonna put that one in my next lets play for sure".

    The Moon God Has Fallen

I feel like such a tragic event deserves more than a simple acknowledgement, so here goes.   For as long as I've been on the Internet, it's been natural to see people come and go, some quietly and some very loudly, but that's just how everything in life goes. Even I myself didn't expect to be a part of this community as long as I have, knowing my own history, but I've been around long enough to see plenty of members come and go.   For all that I've been a part of, I've never had to confront the possibility that someone would so suddenly depart, permanently and with no chance to return. Of course, nobody ever does because of the nature of the Internet, where nothing ever truly dies, but is simply forgotten to most. It feels even more surreal because of how separated the Internet is from real life, leading most of us to believe in them as two completely separate realms.   That brings us to now, where one of our own has had to depart life suddenly and at a relatively young age. I can't claim to have known XYTWO too well beyond the server I once ran and the forums I still run, but from the times I did have with him he was always a great friend to have, committed, active, and fun. He made more than enough of an impact here to make the members of this forum acutely aware when he disappeared during this tragic course of events.   It's no understatement to say that he's made his mark, and his presence will be sorely missed. His passing reminds us that at the end of the day, all we can hope to do is have made enough of a good impact when it is time for us to finally move on.   Thus, we bid farewell to you, James "XYTWO" Lebowitz. Your impact on the people here will never be forgotten and will continue with us to the end of time, and when it is time for us to join you beyond the mortal coil, all that we can hope for is to have measured up to you.   Rest in peace, dear friend.
