Hi, I'm Selbi, random German bloke who had been frequenting SPUF (specifically the infamous TF2 subforum) for almost 7 years now. Although I haven't played the game once for almost a year now, something still kept me from leaving the wonderful forum community that I've grown to love over the years. I was the guy who made the German Balance TF2 video series a few years back. It never became a full-fledged thing, but at least now with the nuking of SPUF will it hold a very special place in my heart.

Alright I don't usually do this but I've recently watched New Game and that's pretty fucking comfy I wanna stick my dick in Hajime and I've also watched Boku No hero Academia because hey I guess that's the 'big' thing at the moment and it's actually fucking really good I literally cannot help having a shit eating grin on my face every time All Might appears.

Hey everyone. I've been an occasional lurker here for years, but I figured I should at least say something now considering the situation. SPUF was one of my most frequently visited sites for the last six or seven years, even to this day it's there on my New Tab page. I have a lot of memories of all the unforgettable threads, the community events, and habitually checking the TF2 section, sometimes even from school computers. It's rather sad to see it go. With how much money Valve makes and with the TF2 section still being active, I was not expecting them to pull the plug this soon and with no warning. I went by Pinkie Pie™ over on big SPUF, if anyone was wondering. Not the most original name, but it provided some good times nonetheless. I was up to 2,100 posts, now I'll never get 5 stars... Anyway, RIP. It will be missed.

Jay seems to think that we'd be better off making a brand new forum over using an existing SPUF one, even if it has a "different community" than current SPUF had. I think that he's dumb.

Edited title to reflect our new, post-SPUF reality. I will miss the place. It was my first real online community, excepting the short time I spent on a Kingdom Hearts forum when I was 13 or whatever. I liked knowing it existed, even though I'd drift in and out and never really contribute anything useful. I mean, basically all of my friends for a long time came from there. It pains me to realize I'll never call someone a madbad who can't WASD again. Rest in Peace, SPUF.
