Movies - Schmoes Know. They're ordinary people that aren't too silly and not too serious, resulting in quality reviews. Games - Modern War Negro. Self-explanatory.

I actually really like TB as well. He's a bit of a dick, but he's pretty intelligent and he makes his points in a fairly clear and concise way. Plus, he may be a dick but he's a FAIR dick-he only really unloads on someone unless they really deserve it.

I'll post WIP's if you do, what starter set did you get? Assault on Black Reach? I'm getting into it myself. Also check out Dakkadakka. Dark Vengeance (spess mareenes and chaos spess mareenes.)

Can this count for tabletop games as well? Because MAN do I suck at painting Warhammer models. Doesn't help that the starter set doesn't really come with any easy-to-follow instructions, and all the help online is throwing around terms I don't even know. Even then, I think I got one Space Marine done after about, you know, an hour. At least these are good practice for my eventual Tau army.

For the Fire-Grass-Water idea, let's compare. Venusaur: Either very likely or very unlikely. Could basically be Ivysaur ported over with a new Final Smash and some larger hitboxes, but Charizard already represents Generation I. Meganium: Unsure. Would be rather unique as a four-legged fighter with some spore or solar moves, but not particularly popular and Meganium doesn't have the sort of wide movesets the others do. Sceptile: If the water starter had been anyone BUT Greninja, almost certain, but as it is, they're basically the same, making Sceptile redundant. Torterra: Bowser on four legs? Torterra is basically Meganium with the benefit of ground-based moves as well, but as said, we already have a huge turtle in this game. Serperior: If controlling a snake isn't difficult to program or animate, then I'd say this is the winner. Leaf Storm, unique silhouette, whip-based moves, and a generation not represented yet. Chesnaught: A badass idea, exceeeeeept Greninja already represents Generation VI. If this "rule" isn't actually a rule, then almost definitely the grass starter they'd pick. But I'm predicting Greninja fills his quota. PS: Screenshots of a new stage recently found. Couldn't find a source but they look genuine, given the ninja frog thing. I really hope that's a Delfino Plaza-esque stage that changes with each arena. That Dragon one seems to have fireballs, so maybe Water has waterfalls or pools, etc?

Check again, my friend. Mario has five representatives; Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach, and Rosalina. And those are the confirmed ones. So now that you say that, Mewtwo COULD still return. It just seems strange that they would announce Greninja before him, unless as you say, they're really hoping for that launch day surprise joy factor. Which seems strange, given that the 3DS version is coming far sooner than the Wii U version... oh bluh i got ninjad greninjad nyahahaha

I'm not too sure. I'm assuming that the Pikmin are now stronger and/or tougher than before to balance against having half as many, the certain order of plucking them makes things a lot easier when it comes to managing them, and that new recovery move seems well balanced; if Olimar is out of Pikmin, it's amazing, but if he has the full amount, it's subpar. Not sure I prefer the inverse of the old move in design philosophy (more Pikmin is now bad instead of good) but if you are getting launched, then chances are you have few Pikmin with you anyway. I don't know, it seems more useful than just a tether at least. In fact, reading over that, minus the new recovery move, it's basically Olimar as he is in Project M, where he's apparently a popular character. So that's a good sign. They didn't say anything about doing the opposite for Final Destination as an option, although given that it's set in space with suns and planets and such, they COULD easily do stage hazards. I doubt they will, and if they do, it'll be an optional feature.

Full list of info for those who missed the direct. 3DS version of Smash Bros due Summer 2014, Wii U version due Winter 2014. 3DS version will run at 60fps. No confirmed fps for the Wii U version. Both games will have the same characters, but different stages. Various stages were shown. Notable new stages include Balloon Fight (a stage nearly identical to Balloon Fighter) for the 3DS version and Patulena's Temple (a large Hyrule Castle-esque stage) for the Wii U version. Stages from previous games will also return, such as Jungle Japes. Final Destination is also confirmed and looks absolutely fucking gorgeous. The Wily's Castle stage has the Yellow Devil as a stage hazard. He can be hurt by attacking his eye; the fighter to deal the killing blow will cause the Yellow Devil to explode with huge damage, hurting enemy fighters within the blast. Ridley confirmed... as a stage hazard. Finally, everyone can shut the fuck up about him. Online with Anyone returns with two modes; Play for Fun (random stage, all items, only counts wins) and Play for Glory (Final Destination, no items, counts wins and losses) Various stages also have a "Final Destination" mode which removes all platforms and stage hazards. Scoring system for solo players announced, called Smash Global Power - essentially gives you a number of how many players you are better than (or worse than - admittedly, this was presented pretty vaguely.) No online rankings, but matchmaking will be skill-based (especially for Play for Glory.) Several new items announced, including the Rocket Belt (a jetpack that lets you hover for a short time, ala Cave Story's Booster) and the Bombchu (the Zelda bomb that crawls along surfaces.) Master Ball is another new item. Works like a Pokeball, but only has rare or legendary Pokemon. Some new Pokemon include Fennekin, Gogoat, and Kyurem. Zero Suit Samus is not returning to the franchise JUST KIDDING returning, along with Sheik. These characters are now separate from their original characters; they are now individual characters, and their form changing mechanics are either removed or replaced. Lucario's aura works as before. Lucario can also Mega Evolve, giving him maximum aura no matter how much damage he has taken. How Lucario Mega Evolves is unknown (though the current bet is it is his new Final Smash.) Olimar can now have up to three Pikmin at once. Olimar's recovery move is now Winged Pikmin, which is very good. However, the more Pikmin he has, the heavier he becomes and the worse the recovery becomes as a result. Megaman's Final Smash is calling all of his counterparts (Megaman X, Megaman Legends, Megaman Zero, etc.) and combining all their fully charged Busters into your face. Fangasms ensued. Pit is stronger than he was before, but can no longer glide. His Final Smash is now no longer broken The Three Treasures (or something) which is basically him going crazy with his bow, shooting huge arrows or arrows falling from the sky and lots of flashy lasers. Yoshi confirmed. He walks upright now. Aaaand that's about it, any other changes were left unmentioned. Mac deals lots of damage when on the ground, but becomes significantly weaker in the air. His power meter builds by both dealing and taking damage; when full, he can unleash a one-hit-KO attack (if it lands, of course.) Custom move sets are a feature now. These are only available in offline play or online matches with friends; online matches with anyone are restricted to the character's normal move set. A few previews included Mario's fireball travelling slower but being a larger projectile, or DK's headbutt being replaced with a much slower but super-armored wind-up punch. More information on this "coming soon." 3DS version has a unique multiplayer gamemode called Smash Run. To sum it up quickly, it's the City Trial thing from Kirby's Air Ride; fight enemies and gain powerups for five minutes, then fight each other at the end of the time limit with those powerups. Finally, Charizard confirmed as a standalone fighter (along with his Mega Evolution, also unknown how this occurs but probably his Final Smash) and Greninja confirmed right the fuck out of nowhere. Mewtwo players continue to cry. While the Pokemon confirmations have pretty much put a nail in Mewtwo's coffin and straight through my heart (seriously, he's my favorite character in Project M at the moment) Greninja looks really fun to play.

If a Metal Gear character DOES return, it will have to be Snake. If I recall, as per the agreement with Nintendo, that's who they get. It's why Playstation All-Stars had to make do with the scraps.

    TF2 general

My step-by-step guide to Spy watches. Equip your favorite non-Dead-Ringer watch and play as normal. If things go well, congratulations! Grab a drink, sit back, relish the victory. If things do not go well, change to the Dead Ringer. Attempt to fake your deaths to the enemy, so that you get more chances to strike in a single life. Continue this until the enemy starts double-checking their kills and they find you. Now change to the other watch again. Play as normal. If things go well, as before, you win! If not, then the enemy will now be wasting time double-checking kills that they don't have to - which is, in itself, a victory. Once they stop double-checking, switch to the Dead Ringer again. Repeat this pattern to constantly annoy the enemy. Even if you are doing poorly, you can still irritate and confuse them, which will lead to one of two outcomes - they will become easier to predict and thus easier to beat, or they will win and you can take solace in the fact that you pissed them off as they did. If all else fails, pick a different class. If that fails as well, uninstall. Also forgot to mention that Dead Ringer is a "I hate using this but I simply must" option for "spammy" or chokepoint maps, such as Goldrush. and that its still way less annoying than the cloak and dagger seriously who designed that thing Also forgot to mention that I haven't played TF2 in a month so you can disregard everything I just said. (EDIT: Scratch that, just played it again today, and Steak-KGB Heavy remains as delightful as always.)

That finale to SotC was pretty amazing, with the exception of Arin dropping hints and teases constantly. Even when Danny is like "ssh, trying to watch" Arin keeps talking in that fake-ghetto bollocks. I've had a friend doing that with Dark Souls 2 recently and I've actually had to tell them to leave the room once or twice. Just my deal, that's all. "Dan, what you do think is going o-" "I DON'T FUCKING KNOW." Yeah. .3.

One of my friends at the games club is going full fangirl over the crossover game and it's actually pretty adorable, since she's normally pretty quiet. I've played the first game from each series, and I can see the two blending well in terms of both gameplay (puzzles for the clue snooping and crime scene exploration, trial cases for... the trial cases) and lore (both series have an affinity for quirky characters.) Of course, only the first games, so that's a limited view and things may have changed in them since I played them, but yeah, I can see myself picking this up.
