I'm one of these hermits that have no knowledge of social media/entertainment media trends.
I have a Twitter just for following artists (and even then I hate using it) and a Facebook because I made it like 15 years ago.
I never bothered with series/streaming services because it seems to always end the same way (Either runs longer than it should have and gets canceled, or it has a good season ending but they do another season and ruins it because fuck you, or it is a trash adaptation with some "inclusive" writer they got from twitter/tumblr that unironically thinks only white people can be racist)
If something manages to get near my reach distance, I just skim it to see what the fuzz is about and then return to my life.
 
I remember reading about the Velma thing like months ago. When I skimmed it I remember seeing "Race swapped cast", "Reboot", "Made for adults!", "Gore" and just thought 'yeah this is going to suck a lot' and never bothered with it again.
A few days ago, I saw some image talking about it, and yeah. Seems it sucks a lot.

You may as well ask "what changed that people preferred a well-catalogued place for discussion rather than a constant moving list?". Discord communities are basically just AIM reborn. Time is a flat circle.
 
It's all about priorities, really. Do you prefer conversation or would you rather discussion? Forums are better for the latter, instant messaging group chats are better for the latter. People currently prefer conversation, so conversation is prioritized.

Oh don't get me wrong, I remember the whole Snivvy thing.
 
The one thing that revolts me is that I actually like Snivvy (even though his stats are trash), but seeing it reminds of Davjo.

Had a really bizarre dream today. I had to write it down because it was surreal. 
 
It starts with me watching an Ashens video (dude that reviews a lot of dollar store tat and other junk, I enjoy it, although its been some months since I last watched one).
On this video, he is reviewing frying pans. That makes funny sounds when you swing them or hit something.
The videos starts with him being roped down a cave, rope tied to his stomach, one frying pan in each hand.
He starts to swing one around and it makes this weird wobble effect. He starts to talk with a British/Australian accent, "Oh ye, this one is all woobly aint it m8?"
He walks around and notice parts of the cave are made out of Minecraft blocks. But as the cave goes, some of the blocks start to get lopsided and eventually get placed diagonally.
He complains that with these blocks he can't do a nice roof, and that even Age of Empires had good straight roofs.
Then he starts to test the second frying pan, that has an auto tune installed. It does silly singing voices with auto tune effects as he hits the blocks with it.

Clean-up of some anatomy study, heavy use of references. Messed up and made the legs twice as large, had to do some surgery.

Had a dream where I went out with a group of friends that were people I never saw before.
First I drove from a house from a street near mine, through a city that wasn't mine, until I reached a shopping center that looked like a massive casino/amusement park. There was a guy with me I don't know, had a coat and a beanie.
 
We went to this shopping to meet this girl first, she had short black hair, some heavy eyeliner and was dressed in this goth/rocker attire (black short tank top, dark slashed jeans, fishnet socks, biker boots).
Then we went into the market and started to get some snacks (soda, meat, chips, some weird cheese bread things I never seen).
 
Later we met another guy, big dude with a crew cut, polo shirt, baggy shorts. We all got in the car and I woke up as we were driving back.

It's over.

I'm so so happy with how this turned out! I feel like I'm really getting better, looking at this. I think I have my sketching process to thank. It's very thorough, for better or for worse.

Not been in the mood to draw recently, paying a bit more attention to my online classes, but I found this oldass drawing I did when I was like 14 or so? It was when I used to draw very often.
 
 
Some things never change, even 16 years later, I still love maid uniforms and android/cyborg vibes. I wish I could recapture her expression, I never manage to get that serious look when I try.
 
Also, I decided to make my own Minecraft skin for some reason. Decided to base it on a character from my old programing class project.
 
I think it turned out pretty good! Maybe I could make the gray parts a bit lighter, but I feel I managed to get the knight vibe into the skin. The "color noise" from the tool did help add texture to it.
