    Wildstar was awfully optimised on launch which hit it hard. It pushed 40 man raids bit failed to realise that the reason WoW stopped them was because getting 40 geared and competent players was a trial in itself 
     
    It had long attunement quests for raiding which weren't very enjoyable from what I heard, and there was a lot of (brace for memes:) artificial difficulty. There's something to be said for extending things in MMOs so that it gives it some challenge, but Wildstar went overboard.
     
    Also just a personal opinion here, the kinda artstyle it uses doesn't lend itself well for a game that wanted to be Hardcore.
     
    I mean it's free and could be different now so give it a shot, but if it had anything special going for it then it wouldn't have gone F2P in the first place, and almost all 'F2P' MMOs really aren't really F2P because if you wanna fully experience the game you'll have to pay money (and in most cases for non sub-based MMOs you'll pay more per month than you would in one with a subscription).

    How long do you expect the game to be? Considering you want it to consist out of small puzzles think about how long each room will take on average and how many rooms you want to and are able to think of
    I also think that just 10-20 levels of Simon Says wouldn't be very fun. You gotta think up a way to make these actual puzzles and I'd start off just writing up a ton of possible puzzles before doing anything else (I'd be willing to help)
    Using geometric shapes is a good idea, as it serves a clear purpose to the game. Maybe you could put a pair of sunglasses on the player's shape instead of an arrow? It would be a clear indicator of who the player is and also haha undercover funny joke
