Thank you for tying this back to gaming because I'm too much of a dumbass to pay attention to which thread I'm in.

But that does mystify me everytime I hear that over a mic.  How can you live that way?  I gotta replace a smoke detector tomorrow due to the dreaded "end of life" chirp, and right now it's in "hush" mode which should theoretically last three days.  But I know from the last time I had to replace one that it never lasts as long as the manual claims, so who knows if it's going to decide to start being noisy again after I've been asleep for two hours?  Just that is enough to wear away at my peace of mind.

But living with a loud beep every 30-300 seconds (depending on the manufacturer)?  For days on end?  Forget how people have that happen and don't try to fix it, how do you live like that and not go insane?

EDIT: I mean, even if you were in full on "fuck it, I don't care if my house burns down" mode, wouldn't you eventually take the detector off the ceiling and throw it out?

Or you have a friend that refuses to acknowledge it yet keeps an open mic, gaslighting you into thinking it's yours until you take off your headsets and check them.

Luckily I can bring them up since they don't post here anymore.

You ever had that problem where you think you finished a character design, then end up changing it again?

Had a dream that started ok and ended completely deranged.

Was in my neighbor's house (that moved away like 10 years ago), in a almost complete replica of my room.
I was talking to someone I don't know, about how the best way to play old consoles like the Mega Drive is on an old CRT TV. Coincidentally, there was a CRT TV and a Mega Drive set up on the same room, so I started playing it.
After a while, I start another cartridge and find out its football, so I turn off the Mega Drive and decide to go back home, since its getting late and was raining.
Getting home, I go to the kitchen and notice two MASSIVE, two liter, glass bottles of milk on the counter. I get close to see what its about, when I notice a label with "BREAST MILK" on it, along the picture of an anime woman with neon blue hair.
I am like "what the fuck is this??", and my mom says [unintelligible name] was there to refill the bottles, but she didn't want to be recorded.
I am still very confused about all this, I go on the internet and find out that that woman is some sort of dragon maid and she goes around refilling milk bottles, and there were pictures, recordings and art of her.
She had this dead tired face, straight and bright blue hair and the thing I remember the most was that her hair had this "wing" shape at the end, or maybe it was her wings??
    Quick sketch:
Anyway, I am sitting there very confused, while staring at giant breast milk bottles, then I wake up.

I had a dream recently that kind of made me realize a recurring trend of mine. I was in a school and I was messing with some student council rep because I was going to be part of an event, and I telekinetically grabbed a nearby book or something to show off that I had this awesome ability. I think in my dream world I did this a lot because they were just more annoyed than anything.

Not really that interesting, but it made me realize that telekinesis comes up an awful lot in my dreams, and also it's always done in the exact same way... By flicking my wrist upwards to make the object come to me, and then I can grab it out of the air or throw it or whatever. It's extremely common and it's always that method.

It's the fucking gravity gloves from half life alyx. That motion is so damn intuitive for me, that it's written to muscle memory even in my subconscious. This is the most embarrassing half-life fanboyism of mine of all time

Just woke up from a vivid one where Gigolo returned and started posting elaborate dollhouse setups of us with scathing depictions of everyone.

Also had one where I was called backstage to a Taylor Swift concert to hold up some shoes that were being raffled off to the crowd.

I think the trouble is that there are a lot of blonde characters, often of lesser importance so you forget who they are.  Once you see Marisa's iconic side braid it's clear, but it's easy to miss on first watch.

But this made me realize that I haven't played the classic early Windows 2hus in half a decade.  Started up EOSD, couldn't beat first stage on normal.

Though that probably had to do something with the fact that it was running at 1600FPS.

I wonder how someone can really stumble on a website like this anymore though. I mean someone who may have been on SPUF in the past who got sent a link to this place ages ago when bigSPUF died, maybe, but we all know how searches are nowadays. The likelihood of this coming up for anyone not looking for it has gotta be astronomical, right?

Unless one day we get some children's cartoon with the main character named Spuf or something and we get 12 million people trying to google it at once

This was pretty fun to paint and honestly I surprised myself with how it turned out, I was a lot more satisfied with it than I thought I'd be.

The real way to prevent getting doxed as an internet celebrity.

-Make very clear at the start that you are privacy conscious and won't be giving away private information.
-"Accidentally" make offhand remarks that hint at your background, but largely do not give anything too specific away, like alluding to living in a specific state, being in certain clubs in high school, etc.
-Fans obsess over these little tidbits and eventually come up with someone they're pretty sure is you, but don't yet have the definitive smoking gun for, making them pour all of their time into getting that last confirmation.
-Jokes on them, all the personal details you talked about have nothing to do with you but instead come from some rando who overshares on facebook, and who will be definitively declared to be you when you get "doxed."

Another paint study, this time from Peripeteia:

I feel like accurately capturing the shadows was a bit out of my grasp, but I still think it turned out alright overall.

I've never used an alarm clock in my life. I started using my DS's alarm clock feature when I needed one, and then as time has gone on I've always had some kind of device to handle alarms for me from then on.

It's an effective alarm I'd say. I use a dumb joke as my alarm now, but this would be one I'd consider if I was going to take one that is easier to explain.
I think I've seen one of those clocks at a military base's housing though.

If you just want cheap animation/audio plays, I found that youtube actually does a good job recommending them when you are watching one provided that you watch from a clean browser.  Here are some examples.

I didn't go past the first twenty seconds or so on these videos so I make no guarantees about the contents, but each of these channels seem to have plenty of videos to go through.

Was looking around for a spare book for college, when I found my old book from my classes from 5 years ago.
It was mostly unused, but in one of the pages there was this doodle, so I tried to recreate it.

Was playing around with new brushes, created new character.
You yee'd your last haw, monsieur.
