Dvdgg got a reaction from FreshHalibut in TF2 Tournament I have made with some friends: Retrospective
I'm still sory the tournament last year had so many problems, we tried really hard but the LAN PArty staff weren't too nice with us (Basically they promised us they would give us a way to organize everything and they would take care of the registrations. They told us  this in March last year, and we never heard from them again until we had them face to face in the Euskal Encoutner).
This time it's going to be different (hopefully), we have made a good bunch of rules that will make being an ass bannable, almost everything will be automated and we will have more than 3 days to make the whole tournament. The guy who organized Dodgeball didn't install the "no airblasting the other team" plugin, and this time we have removed it and added Higlander and Ultiduo. We hope these two gamemodes will attract more people.
There are still medals and Valve has told us they will get them ingame when we have finished them and they have tested them, but since the guy who textures them is the same guy that makes everything design related, he has been busy with the website.
Anyways, have a video, it should be the definitive one (eXtine wanted to promote it on his youtube channel but the music seems to be copyrighted, so he can't monetize it)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YKnextKr8U

We really want this to turn out great, all we are looking for is keep the game alive and give people something to do this summer. The website is almost finished, anything you want to know tell me.

EDIT: Calendar changed because of technical difficulties.

Dvdgg got a reaction from The Irish Demopan in TF2 Tournament I have made with some friends: Retrospective
Since the last year, the Spanish TF2 community has been losing players, and the main reason is because it has been losing servers (and a  year without new weapons hurts too). There has always been DDoS attacks to the Spanish community, but the last year they increased in number, and the main company that hosted some of the best TF2 servers got tired of the attacks, and closed its gaming servers, leaving server owners with the decision of closing or searching for other company.

Many chose to close, the owners didn't have as much time as they did when they opened and didn't want to waste money in servers that would get DDoS'd the second they reached a decent amount of players.

Why am I telling you this? Because my friends and me couldn't stand this, servers closing and people leaving. We opened our own server in November and now want to get the players who left back. And what's better than a little tournament?

So,for the last 6 months we have been working hard, designing, talking to people, getting them involved and finally we have made it. I introduce you Retrospective.

It will take place in the Euskal Encounter, the most important LAN Party in Spain, with over 4000 atendees and enough bathrooms for all of them. There will be CS:GO, DOTA2 and LoL tournaments too, but what matters is the TF2 one.

There will actually be four different tournaments: 4v4, 6vs, Ready Steady Pan and Dodge Ball. The 6vs tournament will be exclusive for the Euskal attendants, so people who aren't experienced in competitive play can face each other in a competitive enviroment, without worrying about doing bad or getting wrecked badly by Div.1 players. Also, the winner team will get 3D printed versions of the winner medals.

The main reason I'm telling you about this are the online tournaments. 4v4, RSP and Doge Ball will be online, so anyone can join them, not only from Spain, but from anywhere. The only thing that might be a problem is the ping, so avoid taking part in it if you are in Australia. There will barely be any restriction in the tournaments, and their rules should be finished soon and accepted by the Euskal Encounter people.

And now you ask me "Why should I take part in this thing? I don't care about your country or your players". Well, as advertised in the video, there will be medals and badges. Badges for the participants and buttugly medals for the winners. Valve has confirmed us they will get in the game, all they need are names for the medals and test them in case something is wrong and we have to fix them. Also, there will be a hat raffle. We would love to raffle an unusual, but since none of us has one, we'll just raffle a bunch of hats between all the people who plays in any of the tournaments. And the 4v4 and 6vs finals will be streamed through Twitch and commented by another staff member of my community, Bad Wolf, and the admin of TF2Portal, the most important TF2 Community in Spain.

We have a poster too: '>

I would love to have a subSPUF team taking part in. You could sign up as a team or without one, if you are alone we will put you with other loners, if possible from subSPUF too.

    So, what do you think?

Hello, everyone! Some of you might remember me as someone who didn't do anything, but right now I made a thing, logging back into my dear subSPUF, and I find everything changed.

Since I left I joined Facepunch like some of you did, made some friends and all of a sudden I am one of the creators of one of the most important TF2 communities in Spain (actually there aren't many communities in Spain so having one makes you important, kind off).

So, what have you all been up to since I left? Would you mind if I promoted a tournament with Valve-approved medals in here? Are you still talking about your fetishes?

Dvdgg got a reaction from A 1970 Corvette in name translations.
Let's translate you some of the weapons from Spanish to English, although DCP would be more suitable for this... Force a Nature: In Spanish, they translated it as "Dispensadora de caña". Literally, it would be translated as "Cane Dispenser", but "caña" here is used as "get a move on". So, "Get a Move On-er"? Soda Popper: "Refrescopeta", Refreshotgun. Baby-Face's Blaster: "Devastadora del Imberbe", Beardless' Devastator. Winger: "aeropistola", aeropistol. Bonk! Atomic Punch: "Bonk! La bebida salvavidas", Bonk! The saviour beverage. Unarmed Combat: "Abrazo de la Muerte", Death's Embrace/Hug. The Sandman: "El somnífero", The sleeping pill Liberty Launcher: "El Libertador", The Liberator Buff Banner: "El Estandarte de 'Animo", the Mood Banner Gunboats: "Botas Blindadas", Reinforced Boots Mantreads: "Las Aplastacabezas", The Headsmashers Half-Zatoichi: "Katana del Medio Zatoichi", Half-Zatoichi Katana Market Gardener: "El Jardinero", the Gardener Backburner: "El Dragón", The Dragon Scorch Shot: "El Chamuscador", The Scorcher Lollichop: "La Pyroleta", The Pyropop Homewrecker: "El demoledor", The Demolisher Maul: "El Mutilador", The Mutilator More later.

One time there was this mercenary named the Heavy. He wasn't very smart, but his minigun was very overpowered. He was walking to the spawn when a Scout was found in the base eating his Sandvich. Heavy did not like this, so he tried to kill his own team member. This made the Administrator very mad. She pressed a button that turned the Heavy into a Sandvich. Scout ate the Sandvich an turned into a hybrid of the Scout and the Heavy. And then he exploded. And the Administrator exploded. And then I finished writing this wonderful fanfic. It is good.
