Yeah, but to no avail. We tried using my TV both VGA and HDMI and neither worked.
 
However! The good news is my PC now lives!  (Thanks to the tech help from CrimsonShard and my sister.) After ranting at him through my PS4 he gave me a list of suggestions which finally led to unscrewing a panel on the back of my PC which had "DVI" ports which would provide feed to my monitor straight from the motherboard, and now that I could actually run dxdiag after getting visuals back we've worked out the the obvious culprit was the culprit. The graphics card. It seems to have just decided it hates me for no reason. One day I was playing Paladins on max settings having a grand ol' time and the next day it killed itself :S So yeah... At least I know how to actually MEND it now!
 
And I finally have an excuse to mod my PC which I should of done years ago but I'm too nervous with pricey electronics to try. I'll probably still get someone else to do it for me so I can get warranty. (Also I cleaned my PC for the first time... That was an experience... A very, very dusty one. That probably didn't help with the death of my graphics card but again at least I know how to do it now. Still terrified of the whole "a tiny bit of static can completely screw up your PC" thing though. I kept touching something metal every 15 seconds. BUT I'M LEARNING VITAL PC STUFF FINALLY SO YAY.)
 
Also I'm aware some ALL of you reading this are probably going "Oh my god, how the hell did you not know about the ports at the back of your PC???" to which my defense is: I'm an idiot with no tech knowledge.

So recently people have been unhappy with the fact that the Sandman-Guillotine combo is out the window, or at least TFTeam permitting. For about the past 3 weeks I've been rolling Scattergun, Guillotine, and Bat whenever I play Scout, cause I wanted to see how the Guillotine fared without the Sandman (before the balance changes blogpost, mind you), and it's fucking good. Like good.
 
The Guillotine deals 50 damage upon impact, followed by 40 bleed damage over time. That's 90 damage (assuming the bleed doesn't get snuffed by stuff like Dead Ringer or Demo shield charge) if you can land the projectile. Now maybe I'm biased cause I main Demoman and I'm used to projectiles, but landing the Guillotine is not that hard.
 
Now, 90 damage on a 6 second cooldown is good and all, but a lot of people are unwilling to make the tradeoff from the beloved Pistol. In the Scout's arsenal, the Pistol is primarily used as a finisher, in the event that you are unable to reload your Scattergun or if the enemy is at a range unfitting of the Scattergun. In contrast, the Guillotine works much better as an initiator of fights, tossing one at your enemy before bringing out the Scattergun means that your enemy is guaranteed to be taking damage over time during the fight, in the form of bleed damage. Also take note that the Guillotine deals the same damage at any range, that 90 damage has no falloff. It's essentially an extra Scattergun shot, damage-wise, without the affects of bullet spread and damage falloff whiffing the damage. It can be used as a finisher as well if you really need it to, although a much more burst-damage one.
 
What do you guys think of the weapon? I've been having a lot of fun and good results with it, even got a few airshots.

Also what it's been for the last few days in the UK probably pales to a lot of the places everyone else here resides. It's just humid here so it's that gross clingy heat :| So when someone tells me with a straight face it's "lovely" I give them a very alien look.

There have been many requests for a blog for SPUFers to share TF2 stories or post things that may not fit the forum. Well, now we have one!

I designed spuf.org so that anyone with a SPUF account can submit blog posts, and we update daily! I'll do the editing, supply the pictures (unless you supply your own) and in general I've tried to make submitting as easy as possible. Read our How to Contribute page if you'd like more information, and you can subscribe to either the blog or Facebook to receive updates when new articles come out.
