    Brexit Bullshit

They are unlikely to leave UK since they need welfare from someone, and EU said they won't just take them in just like that. They would need to keep afloat for few years while trying to tick all the boxes EU tosses at them, also fun fact, none of member states right now does not meet criteria for joining EU. They need UK, badly. As for EU itself, my 2 main bugbears are stagnating economy, and overwhelming bureaucracy. Predecesors of current EU were designed as free trade unions that benefited all it's member states, making their businesses more competitive against ones from outside union. Currently, thanks to World Trade Organization, tariffs on products from outside EU have fallen drasticly to 12% on agricultural products and 4% manufacured goods, but years of protectionism have left large amounts of unefficient manufactures weak and not able to compete with flood of cheaper/better products from all over the world. That stumped the growth to almost halt or sometimes small regress, and increased unemployment that also does not help. But that's a not thing that bugs me most, but the constant regulation of businesses. It favours big corporations that send their people to lobby changes that are they can deal with, and small businesses can't. It reminds me one of pillars of communism - centrally controlled economy, where party decides what and how will be produced to keep even inefficient running, except with a twist to hinder anyone trying to get into manufacturing/running whatever. The other bigger bugbear is the EU itself is basicly definition of bureaucracy, with little to nothing being done in a way you and me can do anything about. Your only influence in the process is choosing your MEP and writing angry letters. Your MEP can only vote on anything European Commision has farted out. No proposing new laws, no changes to old ones, nothing. European commision is body that does not answer to nobody, is put together from people no one heard about or voted for. These people while sitting in their building, that eerily resembles Tower of Babel, grow more and more deattached from reality, scribbling laws and regulations noone asked for (apart from corporations that lobbied for them). Not really. British export to EU last year was 11073.00 million GBP of 44945.00 million GBP total. Main export partners are: the United States (16.6 percent), Germany (10.7 percent), France (6.3 percent), the Netherlands (6.1 percent), Ireland (5.9 percent) and China (4.5 percent). Their best sellers are: Machines, engines, pumps: US$63.9 billion (13.9% of total exports) Gems, precious metals: $53 billion (11.5%) Vehicles: $50.7 billion (11%) Pharmaceuticals: $36 billion (7.8%) Oil: $33.2 billion (7.2%) Electronic equipment: $29 billion (6.3%) Aircraft, spacecraft: $18.9 billion (4.1%) Medical, technical equipment: $18.4 billion (4%) Organic chemicals: $14 billion (3%) Plastics: $11.8 billion (2.6%) These are not bread and oranges, these kind of products are gonna sell anyway, even with 4% tariff on them. And since they will not have EU tariffs on import, Ghana and Malaysia are already all over their dick trying to score some nice deals.

Scotland's Parliament is setting up a power play that lets them win no matter what. If Article 50 is invoked, to leave the EU, English, Welsh, Northern Ireland and Scottish Parliaments have to agree to in invoke Article 50. Now since Scotland voted to Remain, looks like they veto it. End of the story, UK won't leave the EU. They win. Or it goes back to London, London says fuck you, you've got no say and leaves the EU, it goes back to Scotland and now they have proof that the English don't care about the wishes of the Scottish people and boom they move for independence and this time looks like 59% would vote in favour of it and stay in the EU. They win with independence to boot.

So one of the sons of the Unionists major leaders and one of the causes of the Troubles came out yesterday and told everyone who could to get an Irish Passport and that now "the time has come for my fellow Ulstermen and women to strongly consider rejecting Britain and becoming united with our brothers down south." This is fucking huge. That a major Unionist is advising people to acquire Irish passports, referring to the ROI as brothers and that the time has come for a border poll. This is something that we never thought would happen that a key member of the Unionists would come out and say that we should unite. And the bigger thing is, that the grassroots are mostly agreeing. Ireland right now:

I wouldn't say so yet. It is to be seen what will happen, but I don't think Scotland leaving UK is likely. We'll have to see. Thing is, that you burgers need to understand, EU is not a federation, no matter how much president Juncker wants it to be so. It's states are supposed to be sovereign, and with current leadership it's questionable (exhibit 1. polish Constitutional Court debacle, with EU going full sperg mode, just when Luxembourg is trying to delete it's all together because it's in the way). EU is a sinking ship, especially now, with gaping hole where UK was. Constructive thing to do now for Brussels is to analyze their mistakes and develop a new plan of action to avoid domino effect of next states leaving. France is already near the door, and looking at how well will bongs do on their own.

So Brexit. My company is an international company with offices in 92 countries. Today they announced the firing of 150 of the UK staff and closing of 5 of the 13 UK region offices and moving them to Ireland and Germany to continue to work on the EU projects. Today they lost 10,000 euro and the cost of doing business in the UK jumped by 17%. They expect to possibly close all par the Belfast and London UK offices to deal with UK work. Also the Northern Unionists are calling for an United Ireland. HELL HAS FUCKING FROZEN OVER.

Fuck off. I'm not British and even I can see how mindbogglingly stupid this decision is. You're upheaving over 40 years of economy built around being a member of the European Union and creating trouble for literally every single country that is a part of the EU when it comes to trade, not just the UK. Trade agreements will have to be re-negotiated now that the UK has opted out of the benefits that comes with trading among EU countries and I can promise you right now that these new negotiations will not favour the UK. The Pound Sterling is taking a nose-dive and is currently at the lowest value I have ever seen in my entire life and while the financial situation obviously cannot be predicted 100%, there is no doubt that there is short-term financial pain coming to all within the UK. Who knows, maybe the UK just voted yes to their very own "Do-It-Yourself" recession. Considering that 45-50% of British export is to other countries in the European Union, it's quite incredible to me that they decided to leave. Not to mention the issue that will occur with Brits who are abroad. The Erasmus exchange program will be limited if not downright removed from the UK, meaning that the future of all of Britains exchange students in Europe is uncertain. And what about the people with British citizenships living abroad in Europe? Unless the countries they're staying with offer them citizenships, there is a chance that they could be sent packing and be forced to return to the UK. I'm not even touching on the internal struggles that the United Kingdom will face now that Scotland and even Ireland are much more likely to vote for their own independence. England shot itself and its friends in the EU in the foot with this decision. The EU is still reeling from the refugee crisis and now the UK is adding another logistical problem on top of it. There's just no way they can come out of this without some damage to the relations between them and their neighbours. It doesn't matter that "other countries are doing just fine without the EU" because other countries aren't the fucking United Kingdom. People in the UK have every right to be worried about their future, not to mention frustrated about the results of the vote. There is no hysteria here, just anger and discontent for good reason.
