So I had a multi-part dream. Every time I woke up and went back to sleep, it was the same characters and roughly the same events. First part was about a pair of redneck swamp dwellers (of which I was one...I think?) just farting about and fishing (but the reel was attached to a hole in my ankle for some reason). This part is the fuzziest...I'm not sure if it was a distinct part, or just something my character remembered doing. Second part, they realize they need to make some money, and turns out they're criminals. So a comedic heist ensues. They rob the bank with nobody the wiser, and escape through the sewers, but get lost and don't know where they are. My partner crawls out on the street and whoops, it was right in front of the police station. He gets arrested. Third part, I go to visit him at this rehabilitation center he was sent to, because for some reason he didn't go to prison. He ended up in some kind of low security asylum thing that was really run down and wasn't much more than a really nasty looking yard (the pond was BLACK) and a room with a bunch of pews, so I guess they converted it from a church and just told all the crazy people to sit down and shut up. Well, my partner decides to stay (even though it would be easy to escape with the super platforming abilities we apparently had), he's done with his life of crime. I protest, and the psychiatrist catches me out on something I say, and I get afraid she'll call the cops. I somehow tangle myself in my own fishing wire (I still had a rod and reel, and yes the reel was still attached to my ankle). I cut myself loose with a pair of conveniently placed scissors just in time for her to tell me she won't call the cops if I come to her sessions and work out my issues. So I spill the beans that I don't know HOW to do anything besides fish and rob people. Dad was a factory worker, and he died young, and I never picked up any skills to fit into normal society what with living alone in a swamp my whole life. Character breaks down in tears he never shed when his dad died, I wake up with one leaking out of my left eye, dream over.
