Well, at least it's not like TERA's leveling system, which is an utter joke.

If you haven't played through the main storyline, then it's generally advised to play through it once, but otherwise, you do the various Vanguard Requests (which don't need an NPC to start or complete) and once you hit 20 you just use the Instance Matching system to run through the same dungeons and hit the level cap in about 2-3 days of serious play. The only time it slows down is when you're going from 60-65. It goes by even faster if you can get Elite status through temporary vouchers or if you just buy it, as that doubles all experience you gain, including from quests, I believe. Then you grind all the 65 dungeons for progressively better gear, and if you're not into PVP (like me), there's not much else for you once you've done all the quests and run each dungeon a couple times and played with the classes you want.

Although, it could be worse, I remember back when I used to play Fly For Fun and at one point it just got so fucking tedious to level, if you're lucky enough to keep playing to reach your 2nd class at level 60, experience gain grinds to a damn near standstill, even if you're running with an AoE build, and it even had an "ascension" once you hit level 120 that kicks you all the way back down to level 60, but gives you a few new skills and a fancy letter next to your name.

I wish I could play FFXIV, but I need a computer upgrade before I keep going with the Free-to-Play-until-level-20 part, and even then I really just can't justify paying subscriptions. Kinda wish it would go the same route that Guild Wars 2 went, of pay once play forever, and pay only for the most recent content. Speaking of which, I probably should think about trying Guild Wars 2 again in the near future.

Yeah, I've tried to get into Warframe several times before, but I just couldn't get past the lack of fishing.

I... wow. I wish I had this kind of creativity, 'cause I've got all this fuckin' time, and nothing to really show for it.
Also either I'm tired or I'm just stupid, but why the HoTS stuff.

I've played one of these, cant remember which, but my cousin has it on the PS4.

Honestly, its fun, pretty much a Warriors/Musou game and I love these, but overall is just too heavy on the fanservice for me. You take all the fanservice and its just... another Musou game, I guess?

But yeah, I'm just not the target audience.

Pretty much a trope on the crippling genre. Every boob must look like they perfect spheres glued to the character's chest. Bonus points if they jiggle like they are made out of gelatin and look like they are about to snap away from the character.

I, unfortunately, don't have much to update right now.
I need to order more rings of the proper sizes to continue some of my current projects, and to start some new ones.

The problem is that ring gauges are measured in 2 different systems, the Standard Wire Gauge (SWG) and American Wire Gauge (AWG).
A ring that's 18g in SWG is a 16g in AWG, and the distinction matters because of making sure you've got the right ring sizes should they specify what system they're using.
One of the things you'll see talked about a lot in chainmaille stuff is AR, or Aspect Ratio.
Some patterns will be giving you ring measurements based on the AR of the rings used, like my Cylon weave specifies that the two rings have an AR of 7.1 and 4.2, and it's a very AR specific pattern.
You find the AR of a ring by taking it's Inner Diameter (ID) in millimeters and divide that by the ring's Wire Diameter (WD) in millimeters.
This becomes a problem when my supplier lists their rings primarily in SWG, while having their AWG measurement in smaller text, and the site I get my patterns from has all their ring sizes listed in AWG.
So when I see I need something that's 18g AWG, when I go to order, I need to buy 19g SWG.
I guess it's a good time to get all these rookie mistakes out now and not much later when I've made something of a career out of this.

So, instead, I'll show you how to make your own Helm Chain!  With pictures!
The rings I will be using are SWG 18g 9/32" for the big rings and SWG 18g 5/32" for the small rings.

First step is to make a 2-2-2 chain using 4 large rings and 2 of the small rings.
Then take 1 open large ring and weave it between both pairs of the larger rings, and around the pair of smaller rings.
I did this by holding the chain by one pair of large rings, then letting the other two fall back, then weaving the large ring through
Now put 2 small rings through the pair of large rings, then put 2 more large rings through the smaller ones.
Weave one more large ring between the large rings, but around the small rings like you did previously.
It's easier now that you've got more chain to hold on, and the previous "orbital" ring you added keeps the rings you need to go through separated.
Now just repeat this until the chain is at the desired length, add a clasp to it, and you're done.
You can now make Helm Chain.
