Still deflecting conversation about the quality of the show itself.  The creator's motivations are completely irrelevant when it comes to whether a show is good enough.  They can have the best of intentions and still make something horrible.  I mean, I legitimately think that Ed Wood was a good guy who really wanted to make good movies, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to pretend that his movies aren't shit.
 
Besides, what indications do we have from what we've seen of the show itself that the "core fundamentals" will be preserved beyond the basic premise and character names?

I want to be able to bluntly exit a conversation without offending the other person talking to me. This would be minor mind control rather than giving me actual social skills or grace. I could just say "Hey I don't care and I'm done with this shit, now stop holding me hostage at work" and the other person would be like "Alrighty!" and fuck off.

I think my most wanted useless power would be the power to always lucid dream OR have control over my dreams without waking up.

Ability to get a rusted/stuck nut/bolt/whatever bolt off everytime without it breaking, using minimal effort.

I'll go boring and say "minor telekineis". Enough to give me the equivalent of a couple of extra limbs for holding stuff and reaching me my mug from a few feet away.

Ability to already know the expiry date of goods without having to check the actual label.

The ability to always plug USBs and other assorted items in the right way on the first try.
