Raison d'être

I don't have the exact quote at hand at the moment, but Giancarlo Rota said something along the lines of: "For part of your career you will always be the youngest in the room. In another part you will always be the oldest in the room. There is no transitional period."

I think that's doubly so when the room you're in is actively getting younger. It seems like 10 years ago you'd be surrounded by 22 year olds while playing a game, now it seems like you're surrounded by 12 year olds. There's always been underage kids on the internet but I feel like there's a higher proportion now, or at least kids don't see a reason to lie about their age anymore.

You were once the youngest person alive, but you probably will never be the oldest.
