Man I´m so excited for the future! I´m almost done with high school and then I´m off to university! I´m a bit sad I will be seeing my high school friends less but I´m sure we will all keep in contact. On top of that I will make plenty of just as awesome friends at uni! And of course I will always come back to my hometown since I want to see my awesome and sweet girlfriend as often as possible The engineer update is near and I´m really excited, a sentry built around ninjaneering would be a really cool and skillful addition. I wonder what they will start doing after that, maybe a new cycle of class updates? I hope they will keep adding hats because the valve-designed cosmetics we got so far look really good. I just hope those fugly bunny ears were a one time mistake, glad I managed to trade that for a much nicer hat. I've only just started playing Tribes Ascend but it looks really promising, these devs know what they are doing But maybe I won't even have time for video games, when I'm studying psychology I'm going to give it my all to find out about the mysteries of the human mind. There is still so much undiscovered about consciousness and the functioning of our brain, maybe there really is such a thing as a soul and this life isn´t as utterly pointless as it sometimes seems

I think it's perfectly reasonable to find TTGL uninteresting and/or stupid. I remember in the months following my first watching of that anime, I couldn't really fathom how anyone could dislike that show, because I had loved it. Then as time went by, as I spoke to people (VDZ) about TTGL, as I watched more anime and finally, as I rewatched TTGL, I came to the realization that it must be quite easy to be put off by that anime. It's just shounen tropes piled upon shounen tropes for the sake of posterity Now personally that is an absolute plus for me, because my guilty pleasure are these kind of shounen tropes and because TTGL pours it on the viewer to the extreme, I found myself loving the show. Despite the fact of how little sense it makes and how many power-jump asspulls are made, I found TTGL to be thoroughly enjoyable. With that perspective in mind, I realized as I wrote above, how easy it must be to become annoyed or uninterested with TTGL.

You guys are weird. No but really, I felt somewhat the same way, but after episode 8 I got sucked in and marathoned the rest of the series. It gets way better as it goes on. I was cryin' manly tears nearing the end of it. I would highly recommend watching the rest of gurren lagann if you haven't already, you will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER regret it. Ever.
