Might as well weigh in so I can tally up what I watched last season: Ajin (haven't finished it yet) Boku Dake Dagashi Kashi (dropped at episode 4) Dimension W Konosuba Phantom World (haven't finished yet) Ojisan to Marshimaro Ooya-san wa Shishunki Oshiete! Galko-chan Sekkou Boys (almost finished) I was initially offput by Ajin's CG artstyle (as I think a lot of people were) but it turned out to be quite refreshing to watch; it pulls it off well. The personality of the MC is also refreshing, he isn't someone you can easily self-insert into and is pretty much a complete sociopath. As Tobias said, the concept of immortality and all it entails is explored thoroughly, from Ajin (the immortal guys) being repeatedly tortured/killed repeatedly in experiments, to a particularly chilling moment where a villain casually remarks that he intends to seal a few Ajin in steel drums and bury them underground. Glad I started watching it. Boku Dake held what was the most interesting concept of the season to me (mostly because I like time travel a whole lot) and it really lived up to that in an engaging drama show. Everything just came neatly together into a package that, unlike Ajin, made me really feel for the protagonist and shared in his victories and defeats. The art was also my favourite of the season, it looked very crisp and cute to juxtapose with its heavy themes like child abuse. Yeah, the ending wasn't perfect, but it tied up all of the loose ends nicely and didn't feel half-cooked. I'd give Boku Dake a "Not Terrible" Rating. Dagashi Kashi really got my hopes up, as comedy slice of life shows are my shit, and slices of lifes set in the boonies have the potential to be the comfiest shit of all. Not to mention it had an MC literally called "Coconuts". However, it basically amounted to this: which wasn't in the slightest bit endearing after 4 episodes. Maybe it got funnier? Maybe there was more of the cool blond guy who I liked? Who knows. Dimension W started out strong. It had Ono Daisuke kicking butt as Wolverine, a cute robot with a tail, and an interesting plot. It started out as I, Robot, then suddenly there was a fucking weird part where there were zombies from the past or something and I lost almost all interest in the show because I had no idea what was happening. I WANTED to like it, but I was too busy trying to keep up with it to enjoy it. Luckily, a series of absurd events including the introduction of two fat mole people and a guy called Captain Chrysler, who then started flying with no prior explanation in order to fight what was literally the robot from The Incredibles. So it turned out to be a laugh in the end, even if that was because it made no sense to me. Konosuba is a show I started watching with some friends and when I read the synopsis (another guy gets sucked into mmo and he ISN'T a skeleton) I thought it would be something I'd be sleeping through but it turns out it's excellent. I can't do much else but echo what Toby said, it reminded me a lot of Milky Holmes in that you have a team of damedame shitters who just barely manage to pull through situtations by the skin of their teeth. It culminates really well at the end of the (short) season and I am excited to see more. Fun fact: The show is called "God's Blessing on this Wonderful World" because of Megumin, whom it is referring to. Kyoani is responsible for animating: -the greatest slice of life of all time -one of my favourite sketch comedies -other great SOLs that I enjoyed immensely So I was hype for their newest show, and it was ok. It looks nice. There are colourful, cute girls who do cute and sometimes needlessly ecchi things (I understand that she needs to rub her tits to activate her elemental powers, but that doesn't mean it needed to happen). Annie from LoL and Kirby guest star. There is a cute purple haired girl who spends half her time being edgy and the other half saying "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.". There is an MC who I don't like at all. There is something happening in the background with phantoms, and sometimes there is a cute dog. Still need to finish it, but I'm not in a rush to do so. As for the shorts, which were great this season: Ojisan to Marshmallow follows an office worker who loves marshmallows and a co-worker who teases him with them. Also she is in love with him. It's cute and funny and the episodes are only a few minutes long, and at the end of most of them, there is a recipe for making something marshmallow related! A good watch. Thank's for reading. "The story follows a boy whom has gained an independent life. After moving into his rented apartment, he meets his landlord. The landlord has the physique of a little girl, and she does the cooking and housework while attending middle school with her friends." With a synopsis like that, there is no surprise that I was interested in Ooya-san wa Shishunki from the get-go. Nah but the episodes were a little too short for a comedy SoL. Not enough substance. Top-tier OP though. Galko was a bit out there. Another comedy SoL set in a school, chronicling the adventures of a gyaru girl called Galko, an otaku girl called Otako, and the other one. The typical subject matter of their conversations is about actual issues girls have, like buying lingerie, and even their bodily functions. It was different and was sometimes funny. Sekkou Boys is about a popular male idol group who are at risk of hitting rock bottom, and realise they need to shape up or bust. The group's stars consist of a varied cast of characters, from the chiseled "bad boy" Mars to the stony-faced St. Giorgio. It's not the model of perfect comedy, but it left me with the impression that the foundations of an entertaining idol show are not set in stone.

There once was an autist that liked games with grind, as masochistic as one could ever find. Once he saw Warframe, a grindfest galore, he was excited a skinner box and more. So many butts in so many shapes, so many colors, only few not shitty capes. And so he played, enraged by sleeks, unstable servers, on sorties freaks. Let him find a new home the great Number One, let him find in his grind at least a bit of fun. my new clan liked it

basically the program waits 1000*60*60*24 milliseconds or 1 day before outputting the current date which would be tomorrow's date by the time you execute the program

Had one last night where a big city was abandoned due to some disaster, so I made my home in a large tent that was put up for some event. I collected furniture and food and junk from surrounding buildings. eventually I discovered a hidden underground school through a hatch by the table I was using for my bed and that for some reason brought everyone back. They kept having weddings near my bed while I was trying to sleep so I said fuck you to everyone and left to live in what was either an abandoned bank or prison.

I suppose since I watched a lot of things I could talk about them too: I dropped Dagashi Kashi as well and for pretty much the same reasons as you guys. I dropped Dimension W after they had a setting for some interesting sci-fi crime action and immediately left it for vaguely supernatural murder mystery in a victorian mansion. How do you screw up that badly? Geez. The robot was cute but not cute enough to keep me watching. I dropped Erased because it was clear it wasn't the right kind of show for me, and holy fuck what was wrong with that girls' lips. Kinda glad I did since the mystery was plain to see and the ending was apparently awful. I dropped Active Raid due to lack of interest. The episodes were all really formulaic: Some character introduces something about themselves -> some terrorism thing happens -> "oh no there's no way we'll defeat this" -> the character uses that something they revealed in the beginning to stop the terrorism -> fin. The show was pretty entertaining when the characters were, like the mecha fight episode or the gambling one, but it just seemed like I kept watching the same thing over and over. Luck and Logic I also dropped due to lack of interest, probably because it was just weak in all directions. I liked some parts of it but not enough to keep watching. Ajin I'm watching and still watching because it's pretty good. I'm interested in basically all of what the characters are doing, and the CG artstyle looks pretty good. Also the black haired girl in that show is so fucking cute oh my goodness. Pandora was a really charming show, and had a really weird way of worldbuilding a place that is actually kinda fucked up in the background amidst the two main girls doing cute things. Really, my only complaint is the end felt like it was resolved too quickly, the big fight was just a matter of "oh I can kill him in one shot just distract him" and one character is fake-killed but it's clear that she couldn't have died or the entire story would just deflate. The art style is bare bones but the animators work with it to make it cute. Also it has the fucking best ED ever of all time seriously listen and watch that shit it's adorable. Bubuki Buranki was amazing, and I'm super hype for S2. It was slow at the start, but then once the team started going it introduced villains that were super interesting on top of developing the main cast fairly well, and the CG was top-notch. Seriously, I can't think of any characters that I didn't like in there, about 90% are great and the remaining 10 are just satisfactory. It was truly an adventure, and I suppose the only real problem is that it's left a lot unresolved - but that's what S2 is for. As for shorts, I can't say much more about them. Galko was fun interspersed with weird shit, but kept a good balance and I suppose in a way it endeared me to the characters. Marshmallow was cute. Same thing with I'm Tired of Being a Magical Girl, though Magical Girl kinda needed more Magical Girl stuff and less bullying the mascot because he's creepy. I think Bubuki Buranki had the best OP. Pandora had the best ED.

Well, Blizzard shut down the most popular WoW Private Server around I know, intellectual property and all that, but it pisses me off. They provide no way to play older versions of the game, and refuse to admit that some people might be justified in not liking the game in its current state. These were fans who worked for years to provide the best, most accurate clone of Vanilla WoW, for absolutely 0 profit (that we're aware of) and Blizzard shut them down. Every day this company pisses me off more and more, and shit like this makes me not want to give them my money. I don't want to say that I'm never going to play WoW again because I probably will, but as it stands Legion really isn't shaping up to be anything better than Warlords of Draenor imo. Sure, it was well within their right to shut it down, I get that completely, but they constantly refuse to recognize that some people don't like the game currently, and act like proper cunts when they're asked. It's just sad.

Now that we're into a new season, I guess I'll take a moment to reflect a bit on the previous one. I was watching 7 different anime in the Winter season of 2016 (Not counting a couple of shorts I watched as well). Ajin Boku Dake ga Inai Machi Dagashi Kashi Dimension W Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Musaigen no Phantom World Schwarzesmarken Ajin is a pretty controversial anime in the sense that it is made entirely with CG Animation rather than drawn digitally. Created by "Polygon Pictures"(Who previously did "Knights of Sidonia", another fully CG anime) Ajin is about a young Japanese student who discovers that he is a demi-human or "Ajin". These Ajin are mysterious beings with the unique trait of being immortal. They can die just as well as any other human (Being shot, stabbed, drowned etc.) but their bodies will always regenerate after a little while, bringing them back to life. Personally, I consider Ajin a sleeper hit of the Winter season. Not many people watched it and that is a shame, because it was really good. I should mention that I haven't actually finished Ajin as of writing this, due to real life butting in on my viewing schedule, but the 7 episodes I did watch were absolutely excellent. The story is mature and doesn't shy away from violence, it has none of that stereotypical anime bullshit and the characters aren't just caricatures of various anime character-types. The writers make great use of the established "laws" of the world, for example, the military forces that hunt the Ajin use sedatives to subdue them rather than regular bullets, because while killing an Ajin might momentarily disable it, it will eventually come back to life. I'm gonna link a fight scene now that showcases how the writers get creative with the Ajin and their abilities. As you can see, they use sedatives to knock this particular Ajin out of commission, but he works around it by chopping off his own hand initially and then by shooting himself in the head, causing his body to regenerate and "reset", circumventing the sedatives in his blood. Dope as fuck? Dope as fuck. Boku Dake ga Inai Machi or "Erased" as it is called in English is one of those anime that everyone was raving and ranting about when it first aired. The anime revolves around a man who has a unique ability to go back in time and stop bad things from happening. As neat as that may sound, he doesn't actually have a choice in the matter. If something disastrously happens near him, he is automatically pulled back in time to a timeframe where he can prevent it. He doesn't get any information on what he must do and time keeps looping until he figures it out. One day he finds his mother murdered in his own apartment and he himself is framed for the murder, at the depth of his despair he is sent back in time once again, but this time it is all the way back to grade school. I've only watched 3 episodes of BokuDake, I'm not exactly sure why I never got around to watching more of it as it aired, because it was very enjoyable. I won't speak too much about this anime, because I've only seen a quarter of it, but what I did see was very compelling. I've heard that there was some controversy surrounding the ending, but I think the first 3 episodes are strong enough to make me recommend Boku Dake ga Inai Machi. Dagashi Kashi is an anime about the son of a candy-store owner out in the middle of no where Japan. His father wants him to take over the family business, but he just wants to write Manga. Enter our female protagonist, the daughter of a massive candy-corporation, who wishes to buy out the candy-store and bring their brand into the corporate fold. The father agrees on the condition that she can convince his son to take up the mantle as candy-store owner. HILARITY ENSUES. Except not really... At all. I was hoping for some silly slice of life shenanigans with a sprinkle of comedy, instead what I got was an anime-length candy commercial. The character designs are endearing, but pretty much everything else about Dagashi Kashi falls completely flat. Stay the fuck away from this one. Dimension W is set in the future of our world. A new dimension has been discovered which contains vast amounts of energy which is harvested using tools known as "coils". Enter Kyoma Mabuchi, a mercenary with a DARK AND MYSTERIOUS PAST who has very little love for coil technology. On a routine job he runs into a very advanced coil android who claims to be the creation of the very man who discovered coil technology many years ago and through a set of events, the two of them end up as unlikely allies. I... Didn't really like Dimension W. I really wanted to, because it's made by the same people who did Darker than Black and I enjoyed that anime, but unfortunately Dimension W is just so fucking convoluted and weird and I just didn't give a fuck about any of the characters. The first three episodes are OK, but as the anime progressed it just got more and more annoying for me to watch. I'd say give it a go, you might like it. I didn't. But at least we got this sick-ass dance. Hell yeah dude. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! or "KonoSuba" as it is commonly called is an anime that I initially had no intention of watching. I read its synopsis and it just sounded so fucking generic. A NEET Otaku pushes a girl out of harms way on his way home and ends up dying in her place. In the afterlife, he is offered a second chance at life if he will allow himself to be reborn into a fantasy world and fight the demon king. It might as well have been another one of those TRAPPED IN VIRTUAL REALITY anime because the fantasy world, while not technically a video game, was pretty much a video game. Luckily KonoSuba actually manages to be a genuinely funny comedy series. At no point in time does it take itself seriously and the cast of main characters are so fucking dense, self-serving and generally pathetic that it's hard not to laugh at them when they get into sticky situations. A useless goddess, an explosion-crazed archwizard and a masochistic crusader form up the main crew, rallied behind our NEET Otaku who functions as the voice of reason for the most part throughout the anime. He reminds me a bit of Araragi Koyomi of the Monogatari series and that is a good thing. Honestly I can' recommend KonoSuba enough. I'm pretty jaded when it comes to anime and especially comedy anime, but this show had me laughing earnestly and it's only 10 episodes long. I understand that humour is subjective, but I'd still like to recommend KonoSuba. Musaigen no Phantom World was the Kyoto Animation show of the season and thus I had to watch it. Long story short: Humans have manifested the ability to see the "Phantom World" and use various powers and now people form groups to deal with phantoms causing a ruckus in the human world. I personally found Musaigen no Phantom World to be pretty underwhelming when I first started watching it, but the characters and the world grew on me eventually. The show is very well animated and extremely colourful, as expected of Kyoto Animation and while the characters aren't particularly unique they are at least pretty to look at. For a simple Slice of Life show, I think Musaigen no Phantom World is well worth watching. It does have a little more story than your average SoL school anime, but that only works in its favour and in general it's just kinda cute. It unfortunately also has a few fanservice scenes, beacause KyoAni have discovered that they need to please the otaku crowd in order to make sales. One of these scenes was so fucking ridiculous that I almost dropped the show right there and then, but luckily it is toned down a lot following that one scene. H-Here it is... Yeah... It's pretty bad. BUT PLEASE BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THAT THE REST OF THE ANIME IS LESS RETARDED. Schwarzesmarken is a spin-off of Muv-Luv set during the cold war. I watched it initially because I had been told that I could watch it without any prior knowledge of the Muv-Luv franchise and because of its military themes. It's fucking shit, don't bother. I guess if you're a Muv-Luv fan it might do something for you, but I was just fucking bored watching it.
