    1. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. I know that there's a lot of stigma about games in which the story is the main focus nowadays, but GT is a shining example of how it's done right. That and it was written by based Takumi, who wrote the Ace Attorney series. In any case, Ghost Trick is full of life- the characters are instantly likeable and well-written, the art style and setting are gorgeous, the animation is flawless, the music is gorgeous and befitting of its neo-80's feel, and the gameplay is fun. It's one of my favorite games of all time, and I hope that more people play it. Cube picked it up and loved it, so the rest of you should too. Similar/related choices: Ace Attorney, maybe TWD? 2. The Binding of Isaac. It's likely just because I'm a sucker for Judeo-Christian mythos and shit, but BoI is very possibly my favorite game ever. Extremely difficult at the start, but once you git gud it's smooth as butter. The fact that so much of the strategy relies on knowing how the game works and how to cut around it is loads of fun, but will sadly be absent for a while in Rebirth. The music is fantastic, the gameplay is fantastic, and it never gets old. 10/10 game, go buy it during the Steam sale. Similar/related choices: FTL, Risk of Rain. 3. Half-Life, particularly Episode 2 and Opposing Force. I'm a fanboy, but Half-Life is fantastic, but especially Opposing Force and Episode 2. Opposing Force throws you loads of toys and tells you to go have fun while still being fairly difficult. Keeps that classic Half-Life feel but with more goofy fun. Episode 2 is great for the variety of levels, neat little outcrops, and variety of things to do. Similar/related choices: Bioshock, Left 4 Dead. 4. Super Smash Bros., and I mean the entire series. There is truly no game as fun to play with others as Smash Bros. I've spent many, many hours playing Smash, and I don't regret a single one. Honestly, if you have even one friend who can hold a controller in their hands, grab a copy of any Smash and have a ball. Smash is also one of the finest hype generators I've enjoyed. The process of a new Smash is like slowly eating a chocolate bar. Similar/related choices: Mario Kart, Skullgirls. 5. Mirror's Edge. As you guys may know, I have a boner for good atmosphere, and ME is the king of atmosphere, in my opinion. The story needs work, sure, and there could be less gunplay, but the world of Mirror's Edge is a blast to run through, creep around, or just sit and stare at. The music is a fantastic aide to the atmosphere and setting, reflecting perfectly the situations and places Faith is thrown into. Absolutely fantastic. Similar/related choices: Portal(2), Jet Set Radio. And other favorites that didn't make the cut: Chibi-Robo Elite Beat Agents Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak Viewtiful Joe Punch-Out!! Wii Braid Faerie Solitare Onimusha Pokemon Limbo The Stanley Parable VVVVVV Super Mario Sunshine, World, Bros, Galaxies 1 & 2, 64, and whatever the fuck.

I was gonna make a rant about why new Maxie is best but then I realised that Maxie is cold-blooded and Archie is hot-headed and I hope they did that on purpose

Having just been invited to this place, what better thing to do than show off my creations? My deviantart: http://icbmoose.deviantart.com/ Feet are good. Wierdass landscapes are good. Clown heads are good. Pyros are good. I don't know what this is, but it's good.

I'll try to go with one for each genre.   Battlefront 2: FPS. I grew up on this, and its still fun as I'll get out. Kotor 2: RPG. A lot of people prefer 1, but I enjoy the mechanics of 2 better. JK2: Jedi Outcast: Action. Great level design, satisfying combat, and a good story.   (Non-Star Wars alternatives) Goldeneye: FPS. (The Wii version, I guess) Nice controls, fun stealth. Deus Ex: HR: RPG. Only other RPG I've really gotten into.  Bioshock: Action. Same as before. Good level design, satisfying combat, great atmosphere.     Last 2: Team Fortress 2: Multiplayer. Hats.  Portal: Puzzle. Portal 2 was good, but less of a true puzzle  game.

No particular order here, most of these shouldn't come as a surprise, seeing as I gush about most of these games on here anyways. Also I decided to defend my opinions because I have low self-esteem and I was watching Jontron earlier and I guess it rubbed off on me a little. 1. Age of Mythology. One of the first real PC games I ever played, and I see it as one of two games that really got me hooked on gaming in general. And it's just a really solid game, too. I absolutely love it still. 2. Star Wars Battlefront. The second game that really got me hooked, I've logged more hours on this thing than probably any other game I own-including TF2, which means I played it for over 709 hours. Now that I think about it, this game really sparked my love of Star Wars in late middle school/early high school. Which means that this game was a major factor in...well, who I am today, really. Really nervous about the new one. 3. Civ 5. I really haven't played many strategy games after I wore out my copy of AoM. I played Empire Earth for a while, and it was okay. And I know-RTS vs. turn-based is completely different, in terms of gameplay. But Civ's really the only game that I can just play for a solid day at a time, and I think that means it deserves a place here because of that. 4. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. Yet another one for the nostalgia filter, but come on. That soundtrack. The cruise ship. Fucking DARTH MAUL ON A SKATEBOARD. I rest my case. 5. Minecraft. Besides Garry's Mod, I honestly can't think of a game that's more versatile than Minecraft. And the thing I like most about it is that no matter how much time and effort you put into it, there's still always something new. When you look at all the mods and updates, the possibilities are insane. And I really like that. Plus, even though I'm sorely creatively challenged, there's still a shitload of stuff for me to do in the game.

Will they ever make a Serious Sam game where the last level isn't "let's spawn Kleers until the player flat-out runs out of ammo"? Fucking hell
