I dreamed that I took off some gloves and my fingers came off with them

IMO the media is the biggest evil here, not the police force or the rioters. There are so many innocent police officers and so many innocent protesters, but the media is drumming up a war.

Last night I dreamt I was a criminal in some sort of strange prison facility. We were all roughly shoved into the same room with each other. In front of us were coloured karabiners, tonnes in boxes. Each representing a type of crime. They already knew what you were guilty of but I figured it was a show of public humiliation as there were huge one-way mirrors everywhere. We chose them and tagged ourselves. Mine were murder, manslaughter, arson and another one which was green which I can't remember what it represented. I knew it wasn't as bad as murder and manslaughter though as the boxes for major and minor crimes were on opposite sides of the room and I got two from each side. Upon attatching the final one to myself, I was shuffled through a remote controlled door into a concrete box of a room. Many sat at wooden desks, some were empty.
 
The only thing that resided in the room beside us was a single reinforced metal door with a faint red glow behind it. It slid open into the ceiling with a mechanical clunk. The only thing beyond the door was an identical door, only faintly visible in the dark, long, narrow corridor due to the pitiful illumination of the single red light. A prisoner got up from his desk, shuddered in and with a long beep, the door slammed shut. Presumably death was waiting on the side of the second door, something like a modern public execution if the mirrors were anything to go by. Either way, my brain checked out when it got close to my turn. Not sure if I'm more annoyed I didn't get to see what really happened or glad I didn't potentially have an incredibly painful, traumatising ending at whatever lie beyond. (Speaking of which, pain in dreams is weird and also kinda fascinating? Considering pain while awake is still debated all the time.)
 
It seems my brain subconsciously thinks I have an incredibly guilty conscience for some reason... Aw well... At least this dream was interesting, if a little morbid.

I dreamt that my PC suddenly had Windows 25 and some funky look and I figured out that this was a virus. I tried looking up how to remove it but after it realized I was typing in "how to..." it made all of my keypresses be random so I wouldn't be able to look it up on that computer. I woke up shortly after because it was a small dream from me dozing off.

No one cares. Keep your notes to yourself in the future for the sake of the rest of us, thanks.

I had two I wanted to post but I don't remember one and it's been too long to remember the other one fully. I guess my mind did a continuation of Metro: Last Light (which I beat yesterday) and it was in a not-so-radiated part of the world so I was able to take off my mask and walk into an apartment building with people still living in it. I killed the bottom two floors of people with a newly-acquired shotgun that lowered my move speed but decided to stop after I saw some kids and stuff in the higher floors. At the top floor I saw a guy and asked to sit on his chair which apparently was a trap because he wouldn't let me leave until I consented to being an alien/mutant. I tried to escape but my head was about to explode because he got me with something so my only way of living was to consent to becoming a mutant. The dream ended after I went downstairs with my human-looking body (but am actually a mutant underneath the guise) and played soccer with some other denizens who weren't mutants but were probably going to become them. The dream ended when I looked at my thumb and saw tons of hairs coming out of it.

Last night I dreamt I was walking up to the local petrol station when I bumped into the majority of my old workmates. All of which were just outside next to the pumps for... Reasons? Anyway, they talked about what had gone on since I left and I told them I'd been getting on fine. Suddenly, one piped up to say that the new person they'd employed to fill my position was a mage. As the wave of utter confusion washed over me from this revelation, I woke up. So that was a thing. Typical the cool dreams I had a few nights back are completely gone from memory but this one remains :|

I've been having some interesting ones lately. Two nights ago I had one that I was going stargazing with some friends but the event turned out to be so much more. Celestial fireworks filled the sky and it was more like a painter swiping and blending brightly colored galaxies around a black canvas. Probably one of the prettiest dreams I've had.
 
Yesterday mine involved a school course in which you had to search a suburban home for a human mouth jutting out of the ground. You had to force the lips open and shimmy down a thirty foot shaft connected to it to reach a parallel version of the house. You then had to rescue ten puppies that were in the parallel house and throw them through the mouth back to baseline. 
 
Cone to think of it, oppressively dark and unoccupied but still furnished suburban houses are a recurring setting of my dreams.

I don't believe we've ever advertised as some kind of safe space or somewhere that censors other people. I get enough of that kind of moderation on the Paizo forums (where every vaguely controversial statement from "I don't like this product you made" to "You know I think that feminist rally got kind of out of hand" is scrubbed and all responses to it are likewise scrubbed), and have no desire to carry it over to here.
 
We don't make a habit of removing posts unless they're extremely offensive (intense gore/shock imagery or porn outside the designated private subforum) or are clearly flamebait/trolling or otherwise likely to spiral way out of control. This is not either scenario. With the influx of new members, forum rules/guidelines may need to be updated to make this clearer.
 
Raison had his say, everybody dogpiled him, pretty much, we all learned things about each other, and we went back to memeing and playing vidya together the next day. Everybody got their say, and I feel like there are less hard feelings than if discussion had been shut down altogether.

I don't know what forums you were member of previously, but responding to few months old post with nothing to add to the thread is not very welcome behavior. Ignoring most of the post and just saying "this is bullshit, so rest of it must also be so", is also rude. If you want to discuss something, please do, but if you don't, just ignore the post, instead of saying that post is not worthy to being responded to.
Please, keep your responses up to a higher standard, no matter what opinions of other posters are, it's not a youtube comment section.

I don't think Valve will ever make games again, except for glorified tech demos for new hardware (that they're making/selling). They're supposedly making three VR games now. Three fucking games for VR when they haven't made an actual game in the better half of a decade, all while the old guard who actually made all the games are dropping like flies.
 
And whatever happened to Steam Machines (and SteamOS)? There was so much hype, then they came out, then... nothing. I couldn't go a day without hearing about them back then, then they came out and I ain't heard jack shit about them since. Sometimes I forget they even exist. Looking it up it seems sales for them are really bad. How much you think they lost with those? What if their foray into VR also fails?
 
Companies, don't do things for no reason. Why are they killing SPUF now? If ever there was a time to kill it it would've been soon after SPUD appeared. You'd have a sizeable amount of SPUFers that would've migrated there and given the newbies some sort of forum culture to assimilate into. There's no way to test it of course, but I suspect that simply forcing SPUF to turn into SPUD would've been better than letting two separate forums exist for half a decade then suddenly shutting the old one down one morning with no warning. I suppose you could say that SPUF shutting down was an inevitability, but it was only inevitable in the same way that Korean unification is inevitable - it'll happen eventually, but not until something forces it to. My pet theory is that Valve's decided to go over the books recently because the failure of Steam Machines dented their profits and are looking at ways to cut the fat. SPUF cost money, so it had to go. It also might be causing some management changes, which is prompting a lot of the old crew to leave (since they're probably not making any games they really give a shit about anymore anyway). In the end, it's all just guessing as Valve isn't a public company and thus releases whatever information it wants to whenever it wants to.
 
I seriously doubt they'll go bankrupt or anything anytime soon and they're very obviously still running well in the black but I think Valve's best days are behind them, if not as a profit-seeking corporation then definitely as a game developer.

I had this dream once when I was about 7, I was sitting on one of those about waist-high electrical poles that go in the ground outside your house, the ones with the number strip running down them, right? So I was sitting on one of those, eating a banana, and I finished the banana so I threw it over my shoulder, but it went really far and so a skyscraper-sized version of Randall from Monsters Inc that was walking in the distance slipped on it cartoon-slapstick-style and got pissed and started chasing me, so my brother picked the pole up outta the ground (with me still on it) and ran inside the house.
 
Then I woke up crying then stopped then went to church.

Today I decided to get back to The Sims 3 because why the hell not.
 
Then I'm troubled to find that I had nothing more than 3 families with really distinct progress between each other.
 
There was my character and his daughter (who was a robot he built), my character and a goth muse (which also was a witch) and my character, a female martian and a ghost.
 
The logic solution was to merge all 3 families (and pit my 3 versions between each other, only one would survive) into some sort of massive harem.

I had a dream that people broke into my house. I grabbed the phone and tried to call 911 but apparently I called a gag hotline instead and then they found me hiding in the guest room.
 
The home invaders were my brother, a family friend, and some chick I couldn't remember who in my dream-mind I knew was the mastermind behind the operation. I disarmed the family friend by beating the gun out of his hands with an airsoft AR-15 and then he just ran. After that I ran into my brother with MY Mosin, bayonet affixed and everything. I locked bayonet with airsoft AR and twisted it out of his hands, and he ran too. Then I picked up the Nagant that was apparently loaded and bayonet charge'd the mastermind girl and got her right through the heart with the bayonet. Then I think I fired it but it made like no sound at all? Pretty much after that I woke up.
 
The moral is: If you don't know them in your dream, kill them on sight.
