You guys are weird. No but really, I felt somewhat the same way, but after episode 8 I got sucked in and marathoned the rest of the series.
 
It gets way better as it goes on. I was cryin' manly tears nearing the end of it. I would highly recommend watching the rest of gurren lagann if you haven't already, you will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER regret it. Ever.

Actually, they mentioned Jon in today's Firered episode for the first time in 18 months.  Kinda neat.  

Hmmm.  Yeah, that's definitely different and more flexible than what I'm used to in smite where each lane is symmetrical and you typically have the early support-fights as the carries run around like scared chickens and try not to die horribly while mid does it's mid-thing and solo plays a long and grueling game of poke-and-push-without-overextending-and-getting-jumped-all-over-by-jungler.

And I'm fine with the whole crowdfunding gimmick, especially following Crimefest - if anything, it attests that as vocal as they can be, the Payday playerbase are pretty damn productive when they need to be. Some rewards do justifiably need cash to be created, such as a new heist or character (don't forget that maps need art, modelling and playtesting at the very least, while a character needs art, modelling, and voice acting.) Others, like making multi day heists into single day versions, honestly should be free. That's minimal work, and not much incentive to contribute. It's a pick and choose affair. I figure this will be about the same as Crimefest, albeit maybe funded faster due to having a larger playerbase since then (or maybe slower, since it requires funditure this time...)
