Dire Miralis is a Chump, Alatreon is the real final boss as far as I'm concerned.

Yesterday on MH3U, I managed to kill Dire Miralis on my first go - before I could even manage to kill Alatreon. Today, I killed a Gold Rathian on my first go, but not before dying twice. Even then, it took me 40 minutes with the Sandsoother - The single highest DPS Hunting Horn in the game. I got a looong road ahead of me.
