Someone came into a chatroom I frequent advertising their youtube channel and I am utterly baffled as to what it's supposed to be.

    Anime General Discussion

I just came here to say that the anime "Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai!" (English: "Listen to me girls, I am your father!") is up there among the worst anime I have ever seen in my entire life. I guess the title alone should have been enough to tip anyone off, but it had an okay-ish user rating and the first couple of reviews were giving it 8-9/10. Not to mention that it is a recommended watch if you enjoyed "Usagi Drop" and I loved Usagi Drop. But no. I somehow forgot that your average anime fan is a horny, drooling 15 year-old and that I can't trust user ratings on any site, ever. This show is so insulting that I am genuinely surprised that it was ever allowed to air on TV in Japan, in ANY timeslot. PnIwK! follows the daily life of a college student named Yuuta. Alright, so far so good, it's college and not high school, maybe we can avoid some of the more stereotypical tropes from school anime, seeing as we're dealing with young people here who are a bit older and a bit more aware of what it takes to enter adult life. But no. Literally one of the first things that happens, is a fat otaku student being spanked with a fan by a big-titted girl. That's not even the worst parts. Due to some circumstances, Yuuta ends up having to take care of his sister's children. Two of them are remnants from the sister's husband's last marriage and the youngest is actually his sisters child. The oldest is in high school, the middle one is in middle school and the youngest one is three years old and in kindergarten. The first episode alone contains several panty-shots of the middle school girl, not to mention a very blatant dick-sucking reference to the THREE YEAR-OLD (It has to do with a toy trumpet) and our protagonist walks in on the high school daughter undressing herself in the bathroom. True to the anime style, they both stare at each other for like 30 seconds, before the protagonist gets a nosebleed and the girl starts screaming the usual "KONO HENTAI, ECCHI!". It is also implied that the two eldest daughters have a crush on Yuuta... Their uncle... But it's OK! Because they're not actually related by blood! HAHA! Fuck Japan.

    Should James Bond be Black?

People need to really calm down in here because we're starting to get into infraction territory. Especially Bumscags; bold/caps lock/larger font/different colours will not suddenly make others go "oh now I see that argument in huge red letters I suddenly agree", you're only being pointlessly agressive with it As for the discussion, the different Bonds thing has never been canon, it's only a fan theory. You could argue that him being the same Bond isn't confirmed either, but that was at least the case in the books so one way or another it at the very least has more credibility than the different Bonds theory. Also I'd like to hear one reason why the new Bond should be black. "Idris Elba is a good actor" is not an argument, there are plenty of good white actors just as well. As far as I see it, this is just another way to turn race drama into a money tree

    Should James Bond be Black?

There is also a significant difference between changing a character's appearance and changing a character's personality, motives, beliefs, etc. Although it might be inconsistent with the novels to have him be black, it doesn't necessarily change the character. You seem to be assuming that a black James Bond would be fundamentally different than a white James Bond, which is a bit of a stretch.

Also, Rammite, all those characters you named have a whole lot more narrative behind them than Bond does. Harry Potter is a young wizard whose parents were murdered by an evil asshole, and Harry was the sole survivor, nobody has ever survived this evil asshole before. Harry was placed at the abusive Dursely's to be taken care of until it was time for him to learn of his wizard heritage. Now he goes off to Hogwarts to learn more about the mystical arts, and while he's there a whole lotta shit goes down, including Lord Moldybutt rising once more and threatening everything. Walter White is a teacher down on his finances and with little options left, turns to manufacturing and selling methamphetamines, here's his story. Sherlock Holmes is an incredibly intelligent sociopath of a man who uses his considerable intellect to solve some of the most difficult crimes, we follow him as he cracks the toughest cases that the local police can't even touch. James Bond is... super-spy panty melter? I mean, he's smart and smooth as fuck, he can charm his way into most situations, is athletic enough to be able to handle himself in a fight, thinks quickly on his feet, and he has lots of toys. But there really isn't much else to him except super-spy panty melter.

Except there really isn't much else to Bond except that he's a very intelligent and suave spy (WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE SCOTTISH MIGHT I ADD YET AGAIN) who just so happens that, because of how Hollywood is, is white. There is literally no reason that Bond couldn't be black and have him still be the exact same character. I mean, we've had British and Aussie Bonds, but woah no black Bond is outta the question. :I
