I don't really see how you can even call this an issue where "both parties are at fault", Raz. The school is being blatantly stupid over things aren't even breaking any rules. Called another student black? OH NO SUSPENSION Brought a book that contained a picture of a pregnant woman? OH NO SUSPENSION Said he'd make his friend "disappear" with MAJYKS? OH NO SUSPENSION This is the fault of an over-reactive school system which hovers over everyone's shoulders like an overbearing parent and freaking out at every teensy little thing.

Considering that I want to be a high school history teacher, this hit a string. Though I do agree the over-reactive, politically correct nature of the public school system is utter bs, what with teacher unions making it impossible to fire incompetent teachers who are only there for the paycheck and the retirement at 55. I however do want to teach children of the joys of history, and I will be what you would call a "good" teacher who will try to make learning fun. Does that mean I can make a difference in the school system? Of course not, but if it means changing the lives a few future generations of productive Americans, then tht's all I need.
