High school is supposed to give a basic ground of general knowledge. That's why afterwards you start specializing So yeah some classes will be utterly useless for your future but someone else will need them. Plus it doesn't hurt to have at least a small amount of knowledge ready about geography and math

    Dreams

About a month ago I had another game related dream that was probably the most amazing thing I've ever dreamt. The game was about the entire expansion of life and how to save it. Some games in the server browser had a tag disclaiming that they were inherently impossible to win, but every now and then you would find a game that you could beat. You took the perspective of literally everyone and everything who ever lived. It started with the dinosaurs. You could see over time just how much they populated the Earth, but sure enough their time came to pass. They were all killed in one fell swoop by a massive explosion and covered in volcanic ash like Pompeii. The game fast forwarded at this point, showing small insect/reptilian hybrid creatures emerging from the deceased dinosaurs over the millenia like an egg sac. I'm not sure what happened to the creatures but I'm pretty sure it was implied that they were the basis from which all creatures came in this reality. The game then startlingly skipped ahead to a dreary, futuristic society inhabited by humans. We were dying off fairly quickly and the Earth could no longer support us. We had to find an new planet to live on. Oh yeah, on top of that 99.999% of the population (at least double what it is currently) was sterile. At this point you actually took control of a character instead of just seeing things from their eyes. You piloted a spacecraft containing everyone who could still potentially have children to the closest possible celestial body that could support life. The main goal was not fucking up by hitting shit and keeping mostly everyone alive and healthy with the limited food sources you had on board. The main reason that most games were straight up impossible to win was because your ship was a piece of shit and every time you landed on a planet to check its inhabitability you would crash and kill most of your crew. Apparently we did not possess the technology to scan out planets before crash landing on them so you really just had to take a guess by looking at it. If you finally managed to find the perfect planet without killing literally everyone, your crew would have to repopulate and rebuild civilization. If you died upon landing on a planet where life could grow, over millions of years life would once more sprout out from the shell you once were and eventually become something similar, but new. The whole process would go on for eternity or until someone fucked up real bad. I guess it was so amazing because I experienced millions of years all within 10 hours, in addition to it feeling very life like and being very gritty.

I don't think getting vote-kicked off of Valve servers will get you VAC banned. I mean, if you really WERE cheating, I think you'd be banned automatically by now by VAC just for going on a secured server.

But what if you decided at some point that cooking wasn't what you wanted to do? Without any other knowledge at your disposal, you wouldn't have much you could fall back on. The idea is to give you a sampling of various subjects so that you can pick the ones you enjoy and do well in, and then can decide what you want to do with that later on. It's better to have the knowledge and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
